duno it depends wat fighting style ya like best, all 3 of them are completly different, my favourite is gotta be squall cos im more of a sword kinda person, so i like him and his limit breaks the best, i do like zell aswell cos hes kinda funny and his limit break is great, not sure bout irvine i never really use him that much so i dont really no wat hes like

I like all 3 characters as they all have different personalities and I like them for different reasons. Zell probably gets my vote though as I find his immaturity, mood swings and craziness funny. As for limit breaks he gets my vote too as it involves the most interactivity and skill. Squall is a close second in that aspect. I wasnt a huge fan of Irvine's shot.

Squall is good for combat. Personality-wise, he's as useless as a blunt knife. I like Zell and Irvine more for their personality than their combat. Irvine is your typical loner, he can socialize with people but has the heart of a loner. I guess I like him because I relate to him in some way.

Zell is rowdy, and he is pretty annoying. I disliked him when the garden was falling a part and just relied on Squall too much. I thought that was an annoying flaw he held. Still kept him in my party, each time, though.

Rarely ever used Irvine, so I can't speak for him too much. As for Zell and Squall, Squall is the victor. Lion heart is by far the best Limit in any FF game. Zell is very good too, but Squall is easily the best.

I don't think anyone can deny lion heart is the best limit in the game, but it also made some fights too easy. If you got it...it would basically guarantee a win.

Character...Irvine. I hate watching zell's character pulse and shake every 5 minutes.

squall has to be the best by far because his limit breaker is awesome he has awesome attack plus any1 can guest that the gunblade is the greatest

They are all so unique its hard to compare them up to each other. Squall's limit break if probably one of the best in the game besides Rinoa's invincible moon (who doesn't like becoming invincible for a period of time in battle?). The fighting styles are so different, If you have Irvine's Fast Ammo on his Limit Break its quite nice and you can usually waste about 35 rounds in a matter for 5 seconds if your fast enough. Zell's limit is nice but I don't believe it tops Irvine's, definitely not Squall's... Also depending on who uses what magic on their GF Junctioning it's all just a matter of what you choose in the end for every stat, what GF is given to them, Weapons, and level. If you were to max them all out and give them all the same Magic on the same stats. The only thing changing would be GF's and that can be balanced out so I would assume in the end it would probably Rank from

Squall
Zell
Irvine

Now that's dependent on who was given what.

Well I prefer Squall out of all of them as my favorite character and as for fighting, I would choose him again. He's powerful and his limit break rules. Zell also has a good limit break which can be handy against bosses and tough enemies. Irvine is kind of annoying and I barely use him so yes!

As For the Character And personality ~ Id say Squall. For Limit Breaks As much as i love LionHeart i Can surely Say Duel Can Outdamage IT if u have Memorized It . It can even Kill Omega Weapon with Just 1 13 second Duel Booya+Heel Drop i think. 8D And My Final Heaven has Always been epic~
As For Irvine.. I rarely Use him so meh XD

Easily Squall but if in the limit break you dont get Lion Heart in a fight then Zells limit is better i would say but this was from when i was like 7 or 6 i broke my copy of it and nowhere sells it now and my parents hate buying things of the internet so im not that impressed

squall the lion heart can use all limit breaks lion heart overdrive can take like over 14,000 points of damage if all hits are 9999. I think?

Zell used to be my favorite character but now I think I like all of them equally. They are all pretty cute. hehe :3

And plus, I might be using them wrong, but Zell's and Irvine's limit breaks don't do much for me. So, I like Squall's limit break the most.

Irvine Squall and Zell are all as good as each other. Squall is good for combat, I never liked him much until he started to come out of his shell. Zell is just awesome and funny, liek Irvine. But I think Zell's limit break trumps Irvine's

Best Personality (and who I would marry): SQUALLIKINS! Okay at the start he's a tad annoying... but only because of his past... He also has the reluctant hero thing going on. That's kind of hot. Instead of "I"M SO KOOL!!11one!" You also see his character develop... fall in love... and gosh. I love him <3

Best Overdrive: LionHeart! That is pure power. Rawr.

I would say Zell he´s just awesome.He is the best,coolest and funniest character in FF VIII.I must say that Squall has better limit break but Zell has also great limit break.And that tattoo on his face is cool.
