Is there a FFVIII remake? Just like what they did to FFVII ( Crisis Core)?!

Would there be a likely remake of FFVIII?! I would love to have the remake!! Just like the one they did to FFVII!!!! The story is rotating about Zack, In the PSP Version of FFVII (Crisis Core)!! I would love to have the FFVIII remake!! Possibly i wish for them to remake it, then the story rotates around Seifer, during the times when he followed ultimecia, from edea, to rinoa, to adel , and to the one and only original Ultimecia!!!! But, i would also love them to make a version of the game, where the start of the storyline is after beating Ultimecia. It would be lovely!

I really hope that they would do a remake!! I wish i could send a message to Square Enix for a remake! Is it possible?

I think that you are a little confused on you termanology, there has been no remake to FFVII there has been sequals (FFVIIDOC) and prequals(FFVIICC) but no actual remakes or rereleases of VII outside of the greatest hits collection. But as far as sequals and prequals go for VIII I have personally not heard of any, there are rumors with out sources everywhere but nothing has been confirmed. As far as an actual remake of VIII I don't see it happening for a very long time and once again there has been talks amongst the forums about remakes, petitions, and hoaxs but nothing has actually been confirmed on the subject.

But your idea is a pretty good one that I would personally like to see.

You can send a message to Squeenix, but I doubt they'll do a remake and/or sequel on the basis of one fan. If you'd like to petition them for a remake of FFVIII, the link to my petition is in my signature. It would indeed be awesome to have a remake.

Im also been wondering that you says Tami... But most game creators are like this... um... like... ARGH!!! i can't think why they are like this!!!

Some people has even a program named either Rpg Maker Xp or Rpg Maker Vx... Sorry people i did forget that we where talking of final fantasy now... but if you people are instrested in gaining a little information about how to create a game so find it on either...

Meier, thanks for reminding. What i was saying was like a sequel or prequel for example, FFVII Crisis Core : This game is about Zack, which was 7 or 6 years before the original FFVII, which means it was a prequel for the FFVII, but i was looking for the sequels and prequels of FFVIII, sorry for the confuse, but a remake is also nice! XD

I don't think there is anything really left to tell in the FF8 universe. All issues were resolved. I loved FF8 and I wouldn't mind a remake with voice actors as long as they got someone else to play Squall instead of the actor they had for Kingdom Hearts.

A remake would be <333. Personally, I would much prefer a remake with voice actors, improved graphics and a storyline which elaborates on Ulti. Unfortunately though, it's more than likely that VII will get a remake before VIII due to the amount of VII fanboys. If Squeenix remade VIII before VII, then those hardcore VII fans, of which there are a lot of, will cry blue murder methinks. Even though VIII >>> VII. =P

I don't know if this is a joke but I will take it that it is not and if it is please disregueard this .DOC = Deirge of Cerebus it is a first person shooter for the PS2 staring Vincent Valentine. Fun game if you want to kill some time. It is the sequal to VII.

I think a remake will be a great idea and it'll let us see a great details that we couldn't see on the PSX.

But in my opinion...There wont be any remake or sequel, I mean come on!! there is a remake for FFI and II and but still no remake for FFVIII?!!! That's stupid!

I don't care much for remakes, unless if the original game is so old that the story sheds no emotion whatsoever. Final Fantasy VIII, however, has a great story. Even without the voice actors, you can still get emotion from the characters. It's like a Final Fantasy VII remake; the original games are far too good to have remakes.

Don't get me wrong dude, I'm FFVIII Freak!..But at least they could put Sub, I mean FFVII hava Sub! why the **** FFVIII don't have one?!!...I found that pretty annoying.

A prequel could be interesting, depending on what they did with it. A remake with better graphics, voice acting and more SeeD missions could be cool, with more conspicuously placed information about the sorceresses and backstory too. THAT would kick ass.

I still stand by having a Next Generation sequel of FF VIII. I'm replaying it now, and I found something interesting while I was grinding in Balamb and stopped in at the hotel to recover. Going into the house next to the Dinchts', there was this man who was telling a girl (maybe his daughter?) about Hyne.

Basically, Hyne made people, people got angry at Hyne, Hyne and people warred, Hyne gave half of his body and power to people and scarpered with the other half. The people never found Hyne's other half.

Wouldn't it be interesting to do a sequel set about twenty years in the future with a new generation and a renewed quest to find the other half of Hyne? Maybe if he wreaks havoc of some kind from wherever he's hiding and they need to kick his holy ass?

Imagine a new generation (maybe even Squall's kid (and for ****'s sake, make it a bad-ass girl and not another boy of the cliche variety)) kicking God's ass. Now THAT would be orgasmic. =D
