Final Fantasy 8 movie!

After square enix made a final fantasy 7 advent children do you think theyll step up to making a final fantasy 8 movie....or.....will they make another final fantasy 7 movie?

No they won't in my opinion, they made the FFVII movie because FFVII has an extremely lot of fans therefore a movie would be perfect, I myself would love to see a FFVIII movie but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Thats true, square made a sequal to FF VII because it was very popular, but laso cause all the fans even me were dying to know what happened after the ending of the game. FVIII is just as good a game as FFVII i think, but FFVIII ended perfect all questions were answered so they didnt need a sequal, but i would like a movie, something liek FFVIII Sorcessess wars, were untimecia and all the other sorceresses from all the time periods come to squalls time and a new war starts .

final fantasy 8 and 7 are awesome and ac is amazing. lordofdragons has got a point about it ending perfectly. final fantasy 8 has got the best storyline but it would be a bit hard to make a sequal thats why i think they should make a PREqual. it would be amazing. showing stuff about ultimecia and edea, back at the orphanage when they were all young, the relationship between squall and laguna. man the possabilites are endless. im ganna acually try and get in touch with them and send em an idea.

FF8 would be pretty hard to use to create a movie unless they did a prequel thing and possibly a sequel. I think it would lose it's flavor if they did a sequel so something along the lines of a prequel would be best. However, I think they should just make an old-school FF movie! I mean like a whole new story with black mages, thieves, knights, something FF9ish in looks but has a good ol' FF feel to it. I'd buy that.

Final Fantasy VIII would be great to have as a movie in my opinion. I thought Advent Children was awesome so a FF VIII movie would be nice too. The game may have ended perfectly but I'm sure they could think of a storyline for it. I liked the idea of Rinoa becoming evil and the others have to try and stop her! I know it'll never happen but I still think that would be sweet. Maybe they could have someone else as the main character in it. I'd go see it if they ever released one.

If they did make any sort of movie, they should make a prequal. On top of that I think it would be cool to follow Laguna's story more in depth. I mean, you know what happens to him and all, but I think it'd be cool if they expanded on that even more. Maybe you could follow him around the world as he tries to become a great journalist!

I love the idea of a prequel, it would be awesome and would answer some questions before the actual game. I wanna know how Squall and Seifer actually came from the orphanage to Balamb Garden that would be great! Get in touch with them ASAP typo420!

Man it would be so cool to see Balamb Garden in movie form. I don't want a prequell, I wanna see Squall and the gang kick some ass. It would be interesting to see how Seifer moved on, mabe he joins the good guys again... or gets turned again.

I think FF8 would make a mad movie but from this thread a lot of people haven't actually understood the ending of FF8. maybe i'm wrong but if i'm right it would be impossible to make a movie around it.

There ARE rumors of squenix making a new movie to yet another Final Fantasy. I personally think that they'll make it for FF8 because FFX already has a game sequel and stuff and FF7 has Advent Children so... yeah... I believe that FF8 a movie for the sequel of FF8 would be cool.

I believe with FFVIII, the possibilities are endless. Coming up with a good sequel to it would not be hard at all. However, if they did find it a challenge, I think it would be cool myself for them to go in and make a movie from the story of the game. Add the battles and the trouble they go through to get to the end. The game itself in my opinion would make a good movie in it's own. For a sequel...I bet I could give them some kickass ideas. ^^
