Squall and Rinoa definately aren't related. Square wouldn't do that, it's just wrong. Rinoa's General Caraway and Julia's daughter, Squall is the son of Laguna and Raine. Simple.

Hey, I reckon you're right about Seifer being the child of Cid and Edea, Gargo. It sure would make sense, and explaIn why Cid is quite attached to Seifer. Also, I reckon Seifer looks a bit like Edea. Doesn't look much like Cid though.

actually, didn't kiros tell squall that 'at least he looks like his mother and not his father'? something to that extent anyways. or he says that that's what ward would've said if he could speak.

as for seifer, i personally think that he and zell are brothers cause they look alot alike to me. that would also explain why seifer always picked on zell and not anybody else. i know my brothers used to like to make me cry when i was little and made fun of me for it lol.

Let's see if we can put this one to rest shall we?

Rinoa Heartilly is Julia Heartilly's daughter (kinda obvious, no?) and she states flatly in the game that General Caraway is her father. So rinoa's parents are Caraway and Julia.

Laguna and Raine are fostering Ellone because her parents were killed by soldiers searching for a sorceress to succeed Adel years before the events of the game take place. See the bullet riddled house in which Laguna sleeps in Winhill for proof of that. Also the line of dialogue where Laguna talks to a picture of Ellone's dead parents and tells them that "Ellone's been a good girl today".

It is very strongly hinted that Laguna and Raine are Squall's parents in lines of dialogue such as:
(Kiros) "At least he has his mothers looks"
(Laguna) "We have a lot to talk about" (to Squall).
And hints such as Squall calling Ellone "Sis" as you would expect he might with a foster sister.
Admittedly it is never flat out stated that Laguna and Raine are Squalls parents, but there are plenty of pointers in that direction.

There is no evidence to support the theory that either General Caraway or Julia Heartilly are parents to Squall (as one or the other of them would have to be in order for Squall and Rinoa to be blood relatives). There aren't even any hints.

In conclusion: Neither Squall, Rinoa or Ellone are related to each other, in any way, by blood.

I hope that settles that one.

And, of course, when you see Raine clearly, there is one hell of a resemblace. 'Parantly in the Japanese version, when Kiros/Ward says "Good thing you don't look like your father", Laguna says "Hey!" ^^
