Omega Weapon by far.

I haven't yet managed to beat him, though I've only tried a couple of times.

Hard as hell though.

Lapiz from Legend Of Legaia, that bird is so hard. If you don't know its pattern within a few minutes, your party is dead, plus Lapiz cancels your magic. > . < So hard, and plenty of HP. Luckily, I beat it, but luck! A fluke! ^-^

yeah ill go with omega i beat that game like 5 years ago and still havnt managed to beat it.

Yes Omega Weapon is the hardest boss that's optional and overall too in the whole game. He can use a move that will instantly kill every member of your band in 1 turn. He doesn't use it imeadiatly, but there's no way he could be said that he's easy, unless they have a holy war or hero.

Sorry but I'll be the one to say none of the bosses were difficult past disc 3. Omega was a pushover if you know how to play the game. One good limit break from zell and a lionheart from squall he's nearly dead. Throw on another from either and you've got proof of omega. Just make sure you junction 100 deaths to stat-def for each character otherwise he'll rape your entire party with lvl5 death.

I didn't bother to fight Omega Weapon. I didn't bother because I knew I wouldn't have been able to beat him. I might try to defeat him some day but i don't think I will be able too lol. The hardest optional boss for me would probably be Ultima Weapon. He took a couple of times to defeat when I fought him. He kept killing my party! Omega Weapon is probably a LOT more difficult.

My friend actually beat Omega Weapon with no special items. He just used the junctions and GF's he had. He died a few times but just sorta went through it and figured out some paterns in him so he was beatable after a couple turns.

LoL, everything on FF VIII is so OWNED.

It wasn't a creature I didn't PWN easily, and if your characters are something to be reconed with, then you'll PWN everything just as easy.
Whats important is to stock up on Aura, use haste and it's OWNAGE!!

I agree, After running through that stupid Deep Sea Research Center you level up enough. Omega weapon...I dont even try anymore!
