The Best possible spot to level up in FFVIII??

i'm kinda in a pickle right now as i was playing FFVIII i had made myself all the way to the end of disc 3 at level 42, going to lunatic pandora at that level could be extremely difficult, im sure it can be done but on the same note i also strive on geting the 2 ultimate summons eden and bahumat which most likely wont be beaten at level 42 and my other characters at like 32, 35i would just like to know some opinions on what you would think the best place i could level up at. this would be a big help

(please be precise on where, thanks)

Islands of heaven and hell. One is to the extreme left, other to the extreme right. Powerful monsters await, yet you level up well. Watch out for malboro... i suggest escaping them early on...

I was at level 41 at the start of disc 2 XD, but I guess since the game is really easy that I do believe you could beat it at 50. Anyway though, the best area's though would probably be where each story is next. I mean, considering the monster of levels are deteremined by your own it's kind of hard to tell. But Valentine's right on that note, those Islands are good places too. However, if you want to find them just google "FF8 World map" and a ton should pop up for you to look around at.

Another thing is whenever you find a monster with a rare magic, suck it dry. Have one character draw at a time while the other two heal and defend. Course that's obvious for anyone who's played this game a lot. I wish my FF8 disc worked through, I've been wanting to play it .

yeah, and there is hidden draw-points on these islands to get good magic from too. Just click about every now and then and you may find one.

WARNING!!!
If you have weak characters, don't go there straight away, these are LV100 monsters and they will eat anyone not worthy of going there.

Also and more important the Marlboro's are also LV100 and you WILL need protection from the bad breath!!!!

Use no encounters before you fight and go systematically all over the islands there are LOTS of draw points but you don't get many magics at one draw, if you draw before you fight you can maybe draw more when you are done

so if these monsters can be at level 100, i would assume going there around level 60 or higher, but until then where should i go...? the only enemies i had encounter that had really good drop where those jason looking hockey players in the galbadia garden at the end of disc 2, about 600 somthing exp and around 9 AP i think. in groups of 4 anyway... one GF killed em all.

the problem i have is now i cant fight those and i need to get to level 60 or so but i cant be fighting little petty battles that drop aroud 100 or 200 exp, it would just take to damn long....

Well you can try to go there, but they are mean.

Also try on the hills around that city (don't remember the name) errrrrrrrm *thinks*
on the other side if you follow those railroad tracks from that continent (whose name is also forgotten) sorry but I think you know what I mean...

You guys amuse me, next to FF6, this is the easiest game to level up, I got to this place at level 20, using Quistis' spell degenerator I think, you can level up like 16 times in 1 battle, providing you are weak as hell. Oh and make sure you use the stat bonus's as much as you can, saves using magic to boost them later on, Cactaur has them all I think, actually you should kill off 1 character and try and fight them with only 2 people to get better exp. Oh and don't forget the cactaurs give heaps of AP, so use them too.

Use that with two chars at a time as he said, then you'll get heaps of exp.

There is also a really easy way to make this game far easier. If you can, don't use Squall. Kill him or whatever, just make sure he doesn't gain any exp. Then gain the GF Cactuar on the Cactuar Island, and make him learn the Kamikaze ability. Give Squall the Gf, and assign that ability to your battle menu. The as stated above venture to one of the above islands and use Kamikaze as a first attack. Not only will Squall not gain any exp, but he will do a massive amount of damage and leave the battle. Ok, this seems very pointless but bear with me. Most of the monster levels in the game are decided by Squalls' level. So if you level up your other charcters levels and keep him low but strong, then the gain is a whole lot easier. For example, with Squall at level 100, Omega Weapon has 1,161,000 HP, at 30 he has a mere 375,000 making him far easier.
