Yes, I like the gfs of ff8. My favs are diablos,tonberry,Odin. Diablos was VERY good for no enconters and a few boss fights.Tonberry well......is just so kool looking and his knife goes DOINK

Also his shop ability was good. Odin well his looks and instant kill

First time I played the game I went through and used Ifrit all the way, of course my over obssesive use of using guardian forces throughout the game resulted in a low seed rank and less money so now I quit using them constantly while in battle. As far as GF's go my favorites are bahamut, eden and alexander.

Gf's are like a bit mroe powerful than magic so it adds a new feel for FF

Although I liked GFs, i haven't used them that often...it takes too much time and the damage is not that great...

My favourites would be Quezacotl, Shiva and Alexander.

I liked them. Moreover, I enjoyed getting the later ones like Cactaur and Tonberry. Although I got pwned the first time I fought Cactaur(Flipping 10,000 needles), I had a blast once I knew what I was doing. I also liked the fight with Bahamut(and later Tiamat).

But yeah I didn't use them hardly at all except for abilities. Fighting them was the best though. The only one I used later in the game was Diablos on Dragon type monsters.

My personal favourite had to be Odin. You had to work to gain him. Tha battles with Tonberries etc. Yojimbo in ffx reminded me of him. He was s cool, just turning up on the horse, lightning flashes.
After him i guess Diablos.
I didn't like doomtrain so much.

The GF's were so useful on and off the battlefield. I liked the way that if you didn't use them so you could level up some of your characters they would still level up.
I agree with the statement saying it would be good if you could cut the attack vid length. It can get a bit tedious...

I did, but I liked FF X aeons better. The aeons had a wide assortment of abilities and didn't cost MP to summon them. You could also use them for more than one turn. FF VIII had a lot of GFs and I liked the variety.

I voted YES of course because I think the GF's in FFVIII are GREAT!!!! There is such a wide variety of types which I think is good. eg Quezacotl, carbuncle, cerberus.

I don't use they much in battles (just look what kind of attacks they have). I use them only to draw and their abilitys are always (almost) good.

Good post Squall333, I agree aeons are better but it doesnt cost MP to summon GF's in FFVIII!!
