Hats Off To Ellone!!

Let's show some respect for the lovliest NPC of all, Ellone Loire!! Not much is said of her when compared to Xu and Nida. But I think Ellone should be more well known. Does anyone here love Ellone?

You seem to have some love/hate relationship with FFVIII characters. And which age of Ellone are we talking about, all of them. Or just her has as child or an adult. Being that Ellone and Squall are step-brother and sister, or however that works. Makes things interesting, but one thing I did not like about FFVIII was that everyone was related to everyone some how. It just seemed all to convenient that everyone knew everyone or was a family member or former lover or something.

Ellone was alright, I have no problems with her, I think I enjoyed Laguna more because he was entertaining. Ellone was just sending Squall and company around to her past, not much more than a tool being used at one point or another. But I probably prefered the younger, child Ellone as opposed to the adult Ellone. Aside from Ellone just running around and hiding as an adult she seemed rather flat, a least she has a little more energy as a child. Though there are reason for that.

I love the adult Ellone, naturally.

Oh how I wish Ellone was a playable character..

I liked her. Sometimes, well most of the time. She should have been just a tad more independent and not so needy although I guess she did play the perfect damsel in distress. I think I preferred her as Elle. She was such a cutie. =)

What about Raine and Julia they still look better than Ellone.

I don't love her. I find her role strange in the game. It's like she's this important person that does nothing in the present story of the game, but did alot of stuff in the past.

It's confusing and strange, but she's alright I guess.

I thought she was an interesting character but she definitely wasn't my favourite. She was very mysterious and always had someone protecting her. She would disappear at times as well. It was cool how we got to see her in the past. I think I preferred her when she was younger because it was cute seeing her with Laguna laughing behind Raine's back. Hehehe.

I didn't really think much of her charictor... I thought her presence wasnt nessacry for the fact that any one could have had the power and not Ellone but I also have nothing against her...

The child Ellone was somewhat enjoyable, when she was on scene and I liked the chemistry between her and Laguna.
The adult Ellone definitely should have been given more space in the story in terms of explanation of her background. When she was adult, she was basically "just there" and that was all.

Ellone's annoying, nuff said. She isn't useful, doesn't really do much for the story other than having Laguna show himself as a good father figure and pretty much is the most useless NPC ever. I don't even find her attractive. She reminds me of most typical weak women in anime/games, they do nothing but make you save their ass.

Useless? Without her, you'd never have been able to fight Ultimecia or even been able to see any of the flashbacks.

Yes, there are her given parts, but if they took her out of the game it wouldn't make that much of a difference.
