Ultimecia and Rinoa look alike

Hey guys just a crazy thought Ultimecia and Rinoa looks alike right? And rinoa became a sorceress correct? So don't you think that it was Rinoa who was the sorceress Ultimecia. What do you think?

Yeah, this has been a heated debate throughout all FF fans. There's a huge theory behind Rinoa being Ultimecia, the best known source I've found was on gamefaqs I think.

Personally I don't think they're related. The proof people give just seems coincidental to me, not really any ground-breaking evidence. That's why it's a theory. I mean yeah, some of the proof does seem interesting and links them, but I just don't believe it. I honestly don't think the writers behind the game would further complicate the plot and include that in it, and until some sequel comes out directly stating it or some irrefutable evidence spawns somewhere, I just can't support it.

Yeah but that was just my own theory I just thought when they are face-to-face they look alike

They have the same face, sorceresses but have different
personalities and outfit....

of course different personalities when someone becomes evil doesn't that person change his personality and outfit. It was unnecessary to say that(just critisizing you no hard feelings)

It would be nice if you can change the outfits of the characters... (like on FF9 Japanese vers.)

you can change outfit remember when Squall changes to his seeD uniform and back to his own clothes

Uh... thats only at the start of the ... but in FF9 Japanese vers., u can unlock secret outfits and change all your party member's outfits in an inn.

I didn't quite get your point please be specific next time and what I am trying to say is I contradicted your point because you said that you can't change clothes in the whole

I dont believe The whole Ultimecia Rinoa thing but I thing it would be a great roll play .

Ooh, such a heated discussion in all FF Forums. Personally I believe Rinoa is Ultimecia. Why?

- Griever's name is identical to what you name Squall's ring, which he gives to the lovely Rinoa.
- What Ultimecia says before she is defeated "no matter how hard you try to hold on, time escapes you", I personally thought she was referring to how her friends and Squall died no matter how hard she tried to hold on to them.
- "If you come here, you'll find me". The promise that Squall made to Rinoa at the orphanage and also the opening FMV. Now what's floating in the very same spot? Ulti's Castle.
- Rinoa and Ultimecia have a very similar facial structure they are the only Final Fantasy characters that do. I highly doubt Square was just getting lazy during the Ultimecia/Rinoa character design.

Yeah yeah, I know it can't be proven. But we can all have a theory right? ^^

That ain't all--during the fight with Adel, if Rinoa gets dispatched, it's Game Over, right? Seems Square must belive in the Rhino/Ulty thing, otherwise, why would they use that Game Over thing? I believe that as long as Rhino exists, so does Ulty, which means the U-gal is the R-gal in the future. So if Rhino died, Ulty died as well. No Rhino, no Ulty, right? I think so!! Amen.

I disagree, and the only reason why is because there is no way to connect them in the storyline. Unless you come up with some space/time continuim future theory.

I think it's ridiculous, but it would have been cool....if this were true, if at the end of the game they gave you some inclination or hint to suggest that after Rinoa and Squall were together for a long time that she was going to become evil.

Kind of like Skywalker losing his arm in Star Wars Phantom Menace...it was like a sign of things to come when he clutched at Padmay with that ice cold robotic arm during there wedding ceremony.

Those are some very interesting theories. I'm not too sure whether I believe the Ultimecia/Rinoa thing but reading your points...I am becoming a little more suspicious.

I looked at pictures of both Ultimecia and Rinoa. They do look very similar but Rinoa's eyes are brown and Ultimecia's are a yellow/green colour.

Overall... I don't think they are the same person. I'm probably wrong lol because I'm normally am. I guess we'll never find out.
