The best limits in FFVIII

In my opinion, Selphie's "The End", and Quistis's "Shockwave Pulsar" are the two best limit breaks in the game.

Come on now, what a no brainer lol. Squall's kicked ass, it looked awesome and did like a TON of damage. Beats the crap out of all the other limits in FF8, and personally I think Squall was cool, even tho Seifer is AWESOME lol.

I liked Lionheart and Selphie's, what's it called? They were both useful. Especially Selphie's-how she could use full cure and things like that.

The best limit break in the game is Rinoa's Angel Wing. When used properly, it is awesome.

Because Rinoa only uses magic from her inventory. Just give her Meteor. And get loads of damage.

I think visually and effectively, Squall's lionheart limit break is one of the better, if not best LB there is in the game. You can do lots of damage if you're lucky enough to get it, and the visuals are stunning.

Another good limit break, though rare to get, is Selphie's The End. It can instantly kill any boss, even the last one in the game, if you are lucky enough to roll it on the slots, but it takes time, and you may never ever see it just in one playthrough of the game.

One particular character that doesn't get a lot of hype is Quistis. She can have a wide range of limits for her to use which makes her a flexable character. One such limit break of hers that is useful in most situations is Mighty Guard, where your team has a load of positive status effects on them. Another is Bad breath, which hits enemies with a ton of bad ones as well. Degenerator is an instant kill move, and she has many other useful ones as well.

Zell's booya spam is extremely useful, as many a time you can spam the booya move repeatedly in his combo you can do up to 100k damage if you can perform the button sequence quick enough.

Rinoa's Limit breaks are ok, but nothing standout really. Her Sorceress limit isn't all that useful as it seems either, as her spell usage is kinda bad.

Irvine's limit breaks can be as powerful as you want them to be. Although I can usually get about 18k damage out of the AP ammo, I can get probably even more from the pulse ammo, it's just that pulse ammo is difficult to come across and refine unless you're hunting behemoths for about 12 hours..

Edea/Seifer have kinda cool looking, but useless limits. It's a shame as I would want to keep them in my party more often if that wasn't the case, but oh well.

Ha, yeah, Squall's limit was cool, but it took a Lot of luck to get the good ones like Lion Heart.

I found the most useful limit to be Zell's Duel. You just junction 100 death, doom, whatever (I found Pain to be most effective) to Zell's STR, and spam Punch Rush, and Booya. if you're fast enough you can do well over 125,000 damage with it. Pure Awesomeness

Irvine's Shot was pretty useful too. if your quick, just spam fast ammo, if your slow, or need to pack a huge punch, use AP ammo. simple really

I noticed I am the only one to vote Quistis. Hehe. Degenerator people! Hello!

Qusitis had a good range of Limits in my opinion, some of which were very useful. Degenerator was useful against Malboros, and Shockwave Pulsar was just awesome.

Squall's Lionheart was, of course, just stupidly powerful when properly Junctioned.

Selphie's Slots could be helpful in a sticky situation.

Angel Wing + Meteor + 255 Magic stat = LOTS of fun. Rinoa was actually good for that.

Duel was good fun, inputting all those commands.

And Shot... I hate Irvine with the flaming passion of one million suns made of pure alcohol, next to one million suns of Fluorine and Hydrogen colliding with each other. So I never used him. Stupid cowboy...

Edea had a cool Limit. Pity it couldn't be upgraded or strengthened. Same for Seifer.
