what do you think is the best thing about Final Fantasy VIII

Since FFVIII is my first FF game, I have to say it suprised me. Some people said that the storyline, the junction and level system aren't good. But I think that made FFVIII unique!
The characters are cool. The storyline, especially the romance is interesting. And one thing I like most is "Lionheart" (The limit break)

uumm.....i like the music especially the opening theme...Liberi Fatali...n i really love Balamb Garden!!! i wish my school look like it....there r a lot of things i like in this game...but i hate the love theme....

I enjoyed the Junction system and the characters. I sorta liked the storyline (the military aspect), although, about halfway through the game, the storyline bugged me (the romance aspect). The junctioning was great, because a. no MP! b. You could be a powerhouse at Level 1!

For me it was everything perfect. Like they guesed what I want and other people. It's a total perfection on my side. Characters are awesome. Storyline is awesome. Graphics is awesome. The whole freaking game is awesome.

I personally loved this game and i think it is my faveorate game of all time...

Anyway i liked it so much because it is a great story of friend ship and love...
the most anti social person you could ever know becomes a great leader and lover to a beautiful girl... If it were a movie ide give it 2 thumbs up lol

The romance was what did it for me. The failure of Cloud to ever make his move with Tifa really got me down at the end of VII, and the Squall/Rinoa and Laguna/Raine romance really put VIII over the top for me.

Time compression... yeah whatever... Guy saves the girl he loves... totally.

Yeah, its my vlose 2nd favourite. The storyline is great, its just those slightly annoying romance scenes that ruin it a bit for me. Otherwise great characters, Zell's my favorite. The limit break scheme is better than 7's in a way. Although you get more powerful limits as you advance in 7, only you're favorite characters can reach their potential, but in 8, how you collect magazines and items for the magority of characters
(except quistis but her limits still good). I think 7's leveling up system was better because everyone has their favorite characters, and the less favorite characters still get a chance to be strong, on 8 though, Squall and Zell got really strong, the girls were moderately strong and poor irvine was only level 23 at the end of the game!
Also, the side quests were really good.

i think that ffviii has the best storyline after ffx cus it has a lot of cool gfs

I think I like FF 8 because of the great story line great battle system and nice FMV sequences and the music is good too and of course the lovely Rinoa appears in FF 8(She's my fave character and I like her too).

Apart from that I must say that I liked the GF's and the spaceship Ragnarokk

In my opinion ff8 is generally the best. The characters are good, the story is good and the GFs are cool. I really liked that game!
