Squall?

I think he was kick ass. I mean, he revealed a side that all of us have, just some of us tend to hide better than others. He voiced his fears, even tho sometimes they went to be misunderstood (ex. Yelling about how no one was going to talk about him like they did Seifer when he was thought to be dead). He was open to opinion and listened to his friends, yet his cautious nature about letting people in was his security blanket. Thats the way I was and I saw that totally when I first started playing it cause I was that way at the time. And he learned from his experiences and didn't just ignore what was happening. He even showed his faults too - but hes great.

Squall iss one of my favorite FF8 characters! ^_^ The cold-hearted thing made him look really dark and mysterious and sort of like Vincent in a way.

Squall was also strong, and I loved ho Square did him. Squall rulez. ^_^

He's ok but, he is always quiet and snaps at peopel when they are helping him

Those might be a couple things Squall might say.
He doesn't like an audience -- just in case something happens he doesn't want anyone else to know about it.
Defensive around others ... lost in his own thoughts when alone.
He'll do what he has to in school -- to get by, but he'd rather be somewhere else... only he's just not sure where that is.

I can say without a doubt that I became him completely for almost 6 months -- since I'm only a weekend warrior LoL if I try to play during the week I just fall asleep -- and DIE.

the game was ok..squall made me hate it a bit though..if seifer was the main character the game woulda been great not average

His problems are that sometimes he`s kinda cold and not too pleasant but I like him anyway

he pretends too be cold..but he is just afradi to get close and be hurt..he is a poser...i still can't believe the other ff8 characters could stand him..i wished seifer would had kill him and Irvine would had taken his place...

I like squall a lot, because I've always had a thing for guys who don't show their emotions...think it's kinda cute!!

lets see...Squall was pretty cute in a N'Sync type of way...He was cool and had a sexy weapon and limit break...but he was a dipshit...Siefer is ultra sexy, has an awesome coat(yes...)...I love his limit break(it too was sexy until it was used against you...other then that...Siefer is a complete prick(pardon the french) therefore none of them are boyfriend materal...</babble>

Of course he is a punk, for god's sake he is only a 17 years old. Think of it weren't you a punk at this age, for hell knows i was a totally smart-ass-want-to-think-i-know-it-all. Think, cloud was a punk when he was that age, ramza was a complete asshole when he was 18, and so on FF characters cause if they don't put it like that, it just wouldn't be real (as much real as they can be), look at FFVIII closer, what did square wanted to tell with the story? it's plain simple: kids saving the world, that's it, they're all kids if you don't remember it. They are not experienced warriors, nor all grown up soldiers, they're teenagers who just finished highschool (although it's a militar one), what reflects this the best, the conversations of the other kids outside the garden and in the train stations and everywhere through the city. They're normal kids in extraordinary situations, imagine yourself in this situation how would you react?
All of us would react differently, and that's what square pulls so awesome, they get the ladiesman wannabe, the all cheerfull, the smartass, the snoob, the depressed lonely one, the punk, you name it, they put all our teenagers personalities inside of FFVIII that's why we can relate with some of them and not with others, or that you feel that you dunno why they're like that because you had not go through that phase. But as i went to an squall like era of fully depresion and complete loneliness, i say: hell yeah he is great

If he would not have thought loud I would have rated him KICK ASS. As a fighter he is among the best. But the rubbish he is permanently thinking annoyed me that much that I had to vote "okay". He is such a childish character, so backward, so fallen behind. I have to overread his stupid thinking just to keep the illusion of him beeing a fighter.
