FFVII brought back!

Okay, I think this might be old news by now, but since I haven't seen anyone else talking about it, I'll start it up.

Final Fantasy VII has been re-released for the PS3, downloadable through the PS3 network for around ten dollars. I saw it the other day after checking the network for the first time in months, and saw it floating around. I've never been able to get my hands on an actual copy of the game, so this is really helpful to kids like me, who were born a little too late and without a job to get them the 50+ dollars to buy it off Ebay.

I'm going to get it, and I was wondering if this makes anyone else happy or what the thought?

Yeah, I gave mine to my girl Shanann and she sold so, I'm kinda looking to go through playing VII this way.

She has a PS3 so, me playing it on there is going to be her punishment !!!
I'm still hoping for the remake, though I'm more then satisfied with this.

It'd make more sense to simply get it on the PSP. You can download it from your PS3 onto your PSP after buying it. Of course, you could do the same thing illegally and for free, but that can somewhat be a huge hassle. Either way, I don't think I'll ever be replaying FF7 ever again. The trendwhores have killed it for me the same way people were bitching about M.J.'s death for hours on end. Enough is enough. I wouldn't even touch a remake. I'll wait for my Dissidia.

If that happened, I guess there's nothing I could do but cry. I doubt my PS3 would just die like that though, since my PS2's lasted pretty long, and I don't intend to do anything horrible to the poor thing. I just think it's about the same level of worry as buying a regular disk, because those can get scratched or your memory card could go kaput too.

I never even got to play it, so all that hype just made me more excited. And a remake would totally rock, because then you'd get to see HIS beautiful hair the way it was meant to be seen. ^^

Hey it's not like it's an Xbox 360 or something, lol. Though I have heard some stories of PS3's dieing but they are much more rare then the 360's. However if it worries you just back up all your data on an external hard drive. Easy as pie. Has anyone played this yet on their PS3? Does it look any different then say the disk version? Cause if it doesn't I am not likely to get it as I have it on the PC and on the original Disk (yeah the first version)

Only reason this is sweet is that it can be moved onto your PSP (assuming you've got one... but with Dissidia coming soon, you NEED one ). Otherwise, if it doesn't have new features, then forget it, because my FFVII works on the PS3, and my PS2 is still in working order.

Still, if you've never played it, and it's too expensive to buy in an auction, and downloading is Satan's work, then go for it, as it is just too awesome.

It's not an upgraded version at all. Just the original release for all those kiddies who were too young to have played it the first time round. Plus the ability to legitimately play the game on PSP is a huge boon. So yeah. When I actually get a PS3 I'll probably get this just to put it on my PSP.

I need an external Hard Drive. At the moment, I'm backing up all my best save data (Fallout 3 and Oblivion mainly lol) on a USB stick. I was thinking of buying a 500GB Hard Drive for my PS3, but... funds.... ><

I don't think the graphics is too different, but how you play the game is. Personally, (keep in mind I've not actually played the PC version) it feels better on the PSOne. All PC games are a little iffy... >>;

That's good news, especially since snagging a copy of the game on sites like eBay or Amazon could cost about $50 for the whole game.

[Luckily I got mine on eBay for $27... ^^]

I thought about getting it because the game slows down tremendously when I use certain summons... maybe it wouldn't slow down with the download.

Potion Potion X Potion Romandan Pistol

Already bought it
even though i have the original version and will forever always keep it

I bought it right on the dot not even caring if i had enough money or not

the reason why i bought it is because last christmas i got my 160 gig ps3. now even though i love my ps3 one thing that truly majorly SUCKS about it is tht it is not backwads compatible with ps2 games and SOME ps1 games, now im not sure if i tried to play my original copy of FF7 so i wnated to make sure and i bought it.

Hopefully soon the ps3 will comeout with a system update to fix this backwards compatibility problem but till then ill have to wait to play all the ps2 games we know and love.

AND IT WOULD BE BOSS IF THEY CAME OUT WITH THE REMAKE OF FF7 EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT! its not confirmed yet but it has been talked about and its in high dmand around the world,

Just bought it... awesome! Playing FFVII on the train (on PSP) is the best thing ever. Man it's one million times better than FFI on the PSP, but just a few times better than FFII on the PSP.

Still, if you have a PSP, download this immediately! Portable FFVII is just a new realm of entertainment.
