5,813  | It works fine, though the graphics are quite shitty and it doesn't matter what your specs are, the game is barely customizable. Squaresoft's ports are some of the worst, lazy money-grubbing sons of bitches.

5,813 | The battles are pretty much on the same level of the PSX, but the pre-rendered backgrounds are super low quality and very pixelated because they didn't take their time to enhance them for the PC version, since PC games work and are displayed differently then a PSX-Television because of higher resoultions avaliable on the PC.

10,592    | It will work just fine. Here's a tip, though... XP comes with built-in emulators. So, if you're feeling unsure about whether it will work, try this instead. Once you have it installed, select the program from the menu, right-click (rather than opening), select Properties, and go to the Compatibility tab. Select it to run in Windows 98 mode. The game will think it's in 98, and will run more smoothly than it would in XP.

10,592 | I don't believe so... but if there is, that would explain why it ran so buggy when I didn't run it with the Windows emulator. If you run it in 98 mode like I suggested, then it runs without any problems, because it's going off the old 98 drivers rather than the new XP drivers. (That's also why XP takes 2.5 gigs on your harddrive... it's got all the stuff for 95, 98, NT, and 2000. Yeesh. Overkill much, Microsoft?)

93 | I've never heard of a patch for it. I will repeat what those who bame before me said: Choose the game properties and then set the compatibility to 95/98. Either one should work for the game, and then it will run better. I play many a game I had stowed away now, thanks to XP.
