Cost it WAY up!
i have noticed that ever since the release of AC the cost for Final Fantasy Has Gone way up.. on ebay people are bidding like 200 dollers and gamestop is selling it for like 50+ dollers.

Exactly....
Copies of the game are getting fewer and fewer, making the game more rare. The rarer the title, the more you should expect to spend.... IF its a good game atleast. The crap titles usually stay cheap over time.

Keep shopping around man... You will find it cheap....
I found my copy of FF8 just a month ago on ebay for 25 bucks... most places were selling them for like 75... Just have to be patient and keep shopping

Well... same will be happeining for other games when they reach their ten year. FF7s ten year isn't too far away I believe. A year? less? We'll see. I'am waiting for it to happen to BOF III and Xenogears since I have two copies of each. ^_^

I made a pretty sound investment, because I also have two copies of a game, mostly FF's, as it meant I'd have one copy to play, and one copy to sell if I ever wanted to and especially seeing how they're going up in price it's an idea.

I've had no problems finding many copies of great PS1 games at my local Electronics Boutique (EB Games). Try EB, they might have a preplayed copy or something.

the most expensive copy i have seen on ebay was 70 bucks, i have two copies of ff7, one for play and one for sale, or if my play one stuffs up ill open the selling one, the selling one is in its factory seal.

FFVIII rare? expensive?. My local game shop has about 16 copies going, If i wanted I could walk there and buy it. FFIX seems rarer.
As for FFVII now that is rare, seeing as though it's popular and with the movie people want to play it. If Square were canny they'd re-release it for an easy cash in. Also, has anyone else noticed rpg's always become rare after originally not being too expensive, or well known. Shadow hearts 1 and Disgea are good examples.

I purchased my FF8 a few years ago for 20$ at K-Mart. Heh.
I also bought FF7 for the same price when I first bought my PSOne... way back in 2000, I think.
