*IT does so rust! yup his mechanical arm attached with lazer cannons,machine guns and grenade launchers rust very often and its not because of bathing and the rain...it ruts because he sweats so much,hes a big guy you know and all that running,fighting and beating.you know why you dont notice it in the game because your attention is to beating the enemy and not on his arm,you can tell when his arm is rusty when a "MISS" shows up when he attacks! *Ok now how does he clean it up?remember when you vist the inn or enter the airship?thats when he gets his spatula and scrapes the rust off as fast as he can so when you choose him on your party hes good to go!   ***HALLER BACK!!!*** | ||||||||

3,101 | I reckon his arm is detachable so he can take it off while he bathes. It wouldn't be easy to have a bath or shower wearing a huge metal arm afterall. If not that, I reckon he would put a plastic bag over it to keep it dry lol. He wouldn't want it to rust. Maybe he gets one of the others to bathe him so he doesn't get his arm wet LOL.  | ||||||||

1,272 | Stainless steel, I'd say. It would be stupid to have a gun-arm and not making out of something rust-resistant. Because it's not just showering, you know? It's swimming, and even in certain places battle is sure to get water on it. What I want to know, is that when he's swimming.. Does that arm make him sink? XD

2,183 | Stainless steel AND Detachable. At least during the original Final Fantasy VII. Afterwards such as in Advent Children, I'm not so sure. After seeing it go from a metal hand to a cool gun-arm, I doubt it'd have to be detachable anymore. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think neither Barret nor Dyne (the other gun-arm owner of the original game) had the ability to shift the shape from their gun-arm to the metal hand in the original FFVII game on psx.

1,055 | Haha, what a random thread...reminds me of why game characters never take a shit either. Nor do they eat.....but hey sleeping can heal a fatal cut right? My guess would be that Barret uses the underwater materia..that way oxidising effects are worn off. Either that or the anti-rust materia...either way his guns are bigger than yours...

268 | this is a strange question but i think it is made of stainless steel but considering what barret looks like i dont think he actually bathes lol also you would need a bloody big bathtub to fit barret in because he is quite large
