Why you think Final Fantasy VII is the best?

Well I know Final Fantasy VII is considered the best but why do you think that?

i liked the gameplayand the story was good

It had a very tight story that prisons the player to it. If I stop playing now I think I will wonder for the rest of my life: "What happened to Cloud and the others after I stopped?".

It's thought ot be the best? Not really...the most popular? Perhaps.

The first 3-D final fantasy with a massive international advertisement campaign, it captured a lot of hearts...it cast the net pretty wide. It's probably nostalgia more than anything, for most folk.

The general FF player will almost always say the first one they played was the best. Not trying to take anything aay from any FF, least of all FF7, but thats the way it is.

Well, most "teens" consider this the greatest FF of all time because it was the first game they played, but then there is the great fanboy/girl factor. I, myself, Love Sephiroth like any other person no matter what he did and didn't do, but I'm no FF7 fanboy and I say it is very overrated like said before. But that still doesn't make it a shitty game.

If anything it is still a very fun game. But the best FF is only in someone's mind. It's just like music too, everyone has a favorite band or singer they love.

I don't consider FFVII to be the best. It's alright but definitely not my favourite. It had a good storyline and an interesting group of characters but I still don't find it to be one of my favourites. I believe the game is quite overrated, I don't see what the big deal is about it. I find it to be an ordinary game. I don't hate it, I thought it was pretty good but I got bored of it. That's just my opinion of it. The Materia system was pretty cool though.

the reasons i think it is great is because it has an unbeatable story with one of the most evil vilians ever created (sepheroth duh!!!) it materia system rocks the preverbail socks. the characters are veried from cool,calm and collected to just plain "i'll shoot anything that gets in my way atatude." lets also not forget CHOCABO racing the best thing that has ever been done with chocobo's (exept in FFX where they made a right pigs ear of it) they also had a kick ass sub-plot and that is what makes the difference between a game you'll never forget and one that disapeaers after after one hell of a binge.

Mostly because of the gameplay mechanics.

The Materia system was inspired and the Limit Break system was a really cool feature.

The size of the game was fantastic without being drawn out and boring like other "big" RPGs that I've played, there was always something happening in FFVII to keep my interest and make me want to do "just one little bit more... I'll just see what the next area is like... I'll just finish this part and see what the next area is about... I'll just find out what happens after I do this..." and so on.

I think ff7 is the best. Yes, it was my first game form the series but I don't think thats the reason I like it.

The story of the game is excellent (I don't have to explain why it is), the soundtrack is great too, the gameplay is trully wonderfull and the characters matched my expectations. FF7 has all you want from a game.

The only problem would be the graphics. But I think the crappy graphics made the game. (I don't want to imagine how chocobos would look on better graphics, because in other ffs they don't look good at all)
