Who Has Succesfully Highered Their Levels To 99?

By the way whats the sense of maxing your levels anyway if you already beat the game, it's not like your going to get special items or special ends or anything.

The sense is to be able to stand a good chance against enemies like the Ruby and Emerald weapons. I know beating the weapons is possible an levels 60-70 if you morphed enough enemies to get your peoples stats a little higher, and you got some necassary materias for the battles such as 18 master Counter Attack materias, 3 Kor materias, and Final Attack ones etc.

Another reason people do it is to completely perfect the game. I for one went so far in my game that I as I said befor got all of my clouds stats to 255, 3 of each master materia, 15 masterd Counter Attack materias and so fourth equiped them on my invinsible cloud and beat the Emerald weapon one on one. Accomplishing that type of stuff which requirs level 99 and dozens of the most best materias in the game mastered and arranged in perfect combos allows for extreme bragging rights and any way thats what makes it useful.

I've managed to get Cloud, Vincent, Cid, Tifa, and Barret all to level 99 on my seventh play through the game. Proud I am.

Ah yes, I remember the day it happened. I was bored last year so I fired up my old save of FFVII, and went for the whole party to be lvl 99. It took me a while, but I finally did it. I remember that Tifa was my last one to reach the level ^.~

i got every character to 99. i just trained around my save point in the crater at the end of the game. really fast there.

I'm pretty close to it. I have to train because I missed the underwater materia and had the sh*t kicked out of me when I went to fight Emerald Weapon.

You can still get it, you know. =P Just use Morph on the St. Elmo ship thing in the Junon Underwater Reactor place.

And then bring the morphed guide book thing to the guy in kalm and he'll give you the materia. =D

...And as far as Ruby is concerned, there are so many topics with that answer already. Please search for it.. -_-; But you know, just kill off two of your party members and have Cloud start alone against Ruby. Sounds crazy? Do it anyway. Also use Hades and Omnislash and etc. =P

I got all my characters to L99, but I couldn't do it in one place as I kept getting bored of the scenary. That said, I was competing with someone, so I got them to 99 fairly quickly.

Now I mainly go around doing mini games such as the snow one accesible from my older saves. And chocobo racing.
