ff 7 ac limit breaks

i noticed he only uses on of his swords to use his limit breaks he only uses his "base sword" why?

because he's a swordsman? I dunno, wild guess here.

I think it could also be that he only used sword based limit breaks in game as well.

no he only uses his base sword which is only one of 6 swords he has

he has no buster sword he only has the "swords of the first takargi" or somthing

Just call it Fenrir. Even though thats the name of his bike, thats what I've been calling his 'six in one' sword. And that does appear to be what it is considering how Omnislash vr. 5 was executed.

So the question actually was 'why does he only use his base sword to execute limit breaks'? I'm not sure thats the case, but if it is, its probably for asthetic purposes. Cloud = Big Sword after all.

apart from the "final" limit break he only uses his base sword to use limit breaks

He uses his base sword because he just dose but if you think about it he uses all of his swords because he splits them apart to impale Sephiroth with all 7 of his swords so in a way he uses all of his blades.

Clouds sword is called the First Tsurugi (First Sword)
it is made up of six swords:

1. Main Blade (has two forms buster sword form and split blade)
2. Hollow Blade (has no inner core)
3. and 4. Serrated Blades (identical to each other, one side is straight other has square sareated pattern).
5. and 6. Switch Blades (ingle-sided blades and gear-like mechanisms between at their hilts).

all in all a damn good sword to have lol.

listen to him, the base sword is his most used sword and therefore, it happens to be the ones he used for his limit breaks.
