Vincent vs Cloud

Naaah! Vincent would own mr. emo Cloud!

As said before he is extremely agile, and could easily find a weak spot and shoot him. Someone said that Cloud could deflect the bullets, but do you know how fast bullets travel? Its nearly impossible to avoid one when a good aim is taken, plus they go so fast they are barely visable.

Well, Cloud deflected all of the bullets shot at him in AC, regardless of how fast they should've been going. The only time he did not manage to deflect a bullet shot at him was at the very end... and came from behind. Oh yeah; there was that shot that knocked off his glasses, too...

I actually think I've heard of some monk stopping bullets before they hit him, somewhere in Asia...

Maybe if Vincent got a sneak attack in on Cloud, he would win. I think that's basically the only reason he was able to do anything when got to Cloud's fight against the remnants to begin with (and he didn't really fight anybody; he just came, got Cloud, and left.) Remember how fast Loz was moving? Cloud eventually beat both him and Yazoo, remember? Broke both their weapons. I think Loz could move just as fast, if not faster than Vincent. Therefore, Vincent's speed doesn't seem like it would be a huge factor to me.

Not that I necessarily like Cloud over Vincent (or Emo-boy over BadAss Goth Guy?) but as with the fight with Sephiroth, I don't think Vincent necessarily has much of a chance. I don't know; who has the better stats? Cloud is more likely to win, if he gets Omnislash in.

Does that mean Vincent's speed is cut down on, as well?

In any case, I still think Cloud would win, using Omnislash, of course. Or even the one before omnislash, maybe (what was that one called?) From what I remember from the game, even Cloud's regular attacks were stronger than Vincent's. Who was generally faster, though?

If there's any difference between Vincent in VII and AC, then yes.

But if we go by the game, that means no bullet deflecting by Cloud, thus Vincent wins.

But I guarantee that going by the game's engine, Cloud would probably survive several bullets. Remember the fight against Rufus? Rufus was continually shooting him with a shotgun (which Cloud survived) and that was at the beginning of the game.

Thus One Bullet From Vincent = 9999

Thus Death = Cloud



Rufus was pretty weak when you fought him.

Then you get into all the crap about 'what if he had final-attack revive?' or 'what if their limit gauage was maxed out?'

Cause honestly Cloud was just unloading limit breaks left and right and he shouldn't have been able to do that...the only character who can is Tifa becauses its part of her 'Beat' drive. ('Finishing Touch' was the one you were looking for Taco. The only limit break Cloud doesn't use in the movie is Meteor Rain.)

Right then, here's the break down.

Original game. Both characters have max HP, both characters have most powerful weapons. It would depend on who got the first shot. Logically Vincent would have a speed edge since a gun is smaller than a sword and a bullet will always be faster than a sword strike. If Cloud COULD dodge that shot then he might have a chance, but if he took ANY damage, his Ultimate weapon would also be weakened due to its nature...thus it would be possible for Vincent to win at any rate. But if it came down to both having limit Breaks, again, it would go to the person with the first shot.

Thus in game its roughly a draw.

Advent Children, its a time thing. If you really DO think the Geostigma weakens Cloud, then if he fought Vincent before he was healed then Vincent would win hands down. After he is healed and even a little before he starts pulling off limit break after limit break so Vincent MIGHT be in trouble. That is if he can hit Vincent. As fast as all the fighters were moving, when Vincent was in his 'cape' form I think the only person that would really be able to keep up with him would be Sephiroth. If Cloud could manage to stop EVERY bullet and hit vincent then he'd win...but vincent would only have to slip past Clouds defenses once and it would probably be all over. A bullet to the head will still render you dead regardless of what pretty dead girls you have your back.

As such I'd give it to Vincent.

Real life, YOU CAN'T BLOCK BULLETS WITH A SWORD. I know , I know, huge slab of metal, right? Vincent just needs to empty a clip at him quick fire style, and cripple his arms or legs. Then reload and finish the job. Yes there might be a slim SLIM chance, but if it were you would you rather be the fellow with the over sized sword or the gun? I know which I'd pick.

Cloud is triple hard, in the game i'd say Cloud.

In real-life scenario (i.e. advent children ~ they dont have HP et cetera et cetera)

Vincent is faster, can near enough fly, can turn into his 'cape form'. Vincent would wipe the floor with Cloud.

Must there be a heap of these polls? It gets a bit old after a while. I would probably vote for Vincent because I reckon he's cooler. I don't like Cloud very much so I hope Vincent would kick his butt. It would probably be an interesting fight though.

Even a Sword that big wouldn't be able to stop many, if any, of Vincent's bullets.

Spoiler: Cloud. This isn't "real life". Even in the AC movie he was dodging/blocking bullets and using projectile Blade Beams. Guns effective? Yeah right.
