Really? Coz I recently bought the PC version and started playing through again... and its cool if its more challenging In what ways is more challenging, though?

I'm at Temple Of The Ancients atm. But my exams have just started so I won't be playing much atm...

I have the PC game and loasd of others have the PS game and they all seemed to complete it alot faster then me... either i'm a slower gamer or it is easier... god i remember temple of the ancients... wow that was annoying.... i was there for about 4 months hehe...

I haven't been on FFVII for a week or so now and I'm still at the mansion where I've just got Vincent (the man) Valentine. Gonna play again this weekend and if I can tomorrow but it's nearly summer and I can't resist the sun!

I pretty much started again last night and was playing this morning. Its been so long i can't remember anything what level should i be around when you first get to cosmo canyon?

Think I was about level 30 at cosmo canyon, but then I'm only level 39 now at the Temple of the Ancients. Might stop off and level up a bit first before using the keystone at the temple though.

Sephiroth isnt that hard to beat if you beat all the Weapons and have your three characters best weapons and have them set up right.
If you guys want to ask me any questions about ff 7,8, or 9 and i can answer them completely.

My setup for sephiroth was:

1) Cloud-{EQUIP} Ultima Weapon, Mystile(or Imperial Guard, it doesnt really matter here), and a Ribbon( by now cloud should be VERY strong, so you dont need any strength boosters).
{Materia} Knights of Round (lvl. 3 at least), Master Magic w/ quadra magic, Pheonix (must be MASTERED) w/ Final Attack (must also be MASTERED), and one hp plus (MASTERED), 4x Cut(a Must Have)and the rest is up to you.

2)Tifa- {EQUIP} Premium Heart, Mystile(or Imperial Guard, it doesnt really matter here), and a ribbon as well.
{Materia} W-Item and one hp plus (MASTERED) the rest is up to you

3)Cid- {EQUIP} Venus Gospel, Mystile(or Imperial Guard, it doesnt really matter here), and a ribbon as well.
{Materia} Bahamut Zero, Master Magic, One Hp Plus(Mastered), Mime and anything else you want.

And also make sure that they all have their lvl 4 limits, also the only reason you have to have a master magic is for the de-barrier spell, but you can just use a destruct materia, but that will bring down some stats so i just used master materia to keep that from happening.

And thats it, the final battle against sephiroth should only take about 5-10 mins, seems easy for a three disk game, but thats how it is.

In the Temple of the Ancients, are there any really good treasures in the "clock room"? You know, the one with the hands you have to move and then walk along them to all the 12 points of the clock? I am up to that point but had to stop last night.

The main one you want to look out for is in room IV - Princess Guard for Aeris.

Room V has a Ribbon in it, Room VII has the Trumpet Shell in it, and VIII has a Megalixir. The rest have monsters in boxes or are dead ends.

yeah, i just started again, and i got in cosmo canyon at level 23! i have to start leveling up. also, be aware that sephiroth AND jenova obsolete(the last one, also in the crater) will be harder, especially jenova, her whole level changes with yours.

Are we sure about this whole "Sephorith and Jenova are harder when your level is higher" thing? I've been told that it doesn't matter what level you are at, they're still going to be fookin hard!

I struggled onto the 2nd disc last night; I seem to be plodding through it at a slower pace at the min ute than what I did at the beginning. Anyway, Aeris is dead now, I've done the snowboarding bit and climbed the mountain.

Does anyone know what you can get from doing a good time/score on the snowboarding? I've moved on through the ice field and up the mountain now. Can't remember where exactly I left off but around there somewhere.

YES!!! I've finally completed it! Since owning it from about 2000 when I had it passed on to me from a friend, I hadn't actually completed it as I was only about level 50 in the North Cave at the end and kept getting battered. And so it lay in my draw for a few years until about May 2006. Now I've been through, made sure I level up at various stages, and low and behold (although my level wasn't super high), I completed the game with Cloud at Level 64! I reckon that's pretty impressive.

It was great to see the final ending sequence, which I haven't seen before and get the rest of the story, as I've steered my way around finding it out on the internet for that fateful day when I would complete the game. As you can tell, I'm well pleased with myself and due to FF XII not coming out in Europe until "TBA" as it always is.... guess I can start on FF VIII over the weekend! Got to admit though, once FF III is out on DS, I'm heading straight down to the shops to buy both the game and the DS!
