How did you feel when...

***WARNING, SPOILERS MAY BE PRESENT IN THIS THREAD!!!***

Spoiler: How did you feel when (if you didnot know what was to happen) you visit the exquisite City of the Cetra, just to have that Cetra in your party destroyed? Aeris' death brought me great remorse. I might have cried, I am not sure.(It was a loooong time ago)

Anyway, answer this or come up with some more areas of the game that intrigued or plagued you and ask some questions. WOO!

Goodness...there are alot of spoilers floating around here...I suppose I should have put a note on there about it. Hmmm...ok well...

That was probably the most heartbreaking thing I've ever seen happen in a game, and I'll admit it, I cried like a baby.

It was quite sad...but did you see it coming?? But if it hadn't happened...would the story still be as powerful?

Personally, it was sad, but it didn't bother me much. It was more an impact on the story, than on the gameplay. I never used Aeris very much because my power magic use was Tifa, and Aeris just wasn't much use.

I think her death made the game that much better. From the invents leading up to it from the Pyramid of the Acients, Bone Village, the Enchanted Forest, all the way up to the City of the Ancients. It was a fun part of the game.

This would be an improvement in the game if they ever decide to do a remake, since the FMV's, and possible add-ons to the scenes would be intense.

I liked it. I really found Aeris so annoying, so I loved seing her put up againgst the blade of the masamune! ok, it sounds a bit harsh, the bit with the white materia floating down was a little sad, but id be more sad if it was someone else getting killed, like Tifa.

Well I have a problem with actually feeling sad or guilty about things so no this really didn't effect me all that much. It basicallly got a, "Well...that sucks", out of me. Personally she was a bit annoying though, I don't even consider her hot. Hell even in KH she was annoying. Hardly even trained her when I first played it, lol. Though Six, about everyone here has played and beaten 7, this is no spoiler. Not to mention 95% of us has seen the movie.

You'd be surprised how many people haven't played 7 let alone heard about Aeris.

I was just taking some precautions...and other things could possibly develop on this thread, so...yeah...lol. But it was an integural part of the story...Imagine if no one had died? Well, Cait Sith did...sort of...anyway...what other parts of the story moved you?

Well I didn't start playing the Final Fantasy games til a few years back. But I had heard what would happen to her, so I kinda expected it. i wasn't happy that she died, but after all it is a video game so I didn't really take it to heart. Plus my group had Vincent and Tifa and they were better with them than they were when she was around. Well either way the game had good writing because I don't think anyone expected that to happen.

I didn't like Aeris all that much. Matter of fact, I didn't use her, so it didn't make much impact on me, besides that, her death was part of the story to make it have a story as to why a group of people are traveling in the first place. I agree with Valentine89, I would've been upset or pissed if it was one of the others, especially Tifa, cause she just kicks butt! *Final Heaven!!!*

Aeris was one of my favourite characters. I used her in my party all of the time. She was my main healer. I was really sad when she was killed. The music in the background made it even more heartbreaking to watch. It was a really sad scene and it nearly made me cry lol. I was surprised I didn't actually cry. I stopped playing the game after that. Haven't played it since. Poor Aeris...
