FF7 PC looks horrible

I recently installed it and the CG's and gameplay look so damn pixelated and yes I have the patches installed. I seen some of the screen shots you have here and they look great

Are there options within the game to change the screen resolution? If so the a higher resolution might help somewhat. However you have to know that they didn't improve the game graphics from the original. You are getting the exact same game as was made for PSX

no this looks worse then what I posted and the config only allows 640x480 max and thats what I have it on the PS1 version doesnt have pixelated movies either

Are you able to adjust settings of your video card? You should try increasing anti-ailiasing. Play with other settings as well. That may help.

Do you know why the screen shots here look so much better? The character models arent bad they look normal but the backround and movies look like shit

It has to be something with the way your video card is displaying the game. Sony wouldn't make the PC version pixelated like that. What knd of video card do you have? Make sure you have the newest driver for it.

6800GT and I have the newest drivers. I set all the options to quality and highest AA still get the problems and I cant install the high ress cloud I get some violation error or somethin

any graphical fixes that I should do?

The background does kinda look shitty in that picture. I'm not a fan of computer games, anyway. If it tells you anything, I've only played old school Doom on computer. I've also played Mechwarrior, Wipeout, and Alice.

That's about it. I think I played Black & White, too.

I bought FF7 for PC when it first came out,
so when I got FF7 for the PSX, I was completely
blown away at the difference.

Mhmm, maybe its just me I played PS1 version origianlly. And when I played on the PC version the graphics seemed a little better than those of the original playstation... Alhtough there is probably no difference whatsoever.

Hummm... probably not...
It prolly just depends on the computer hardware.
I know the comp I ran FF7 PC on was not laggy,
but not top of the line either.

You could prolly configure a computer to make
FF7 look even better than the on the PSX lol.

Thats the thing it is weird can you show screen shots from your FF7? Just to see if its not my eyes fooling me
