I'm not for a few reasons.

1. FFVII has been milked far too much already.

2. There's just no point.

3. There are far better games Square-Enix could remake if they wanted to remake something.

Anyway, I find it highly unlikely that they won't remake it. It wouldn't be like SE to pass up a chance to milk FF7 for even more money.

FFVII is still a great game, whether they remake it or not. It today's standards, the graphics are horrible but last week I started a new game on VII and it is just as much fun as before. The fact is, they don't NEED to remake the game. Spend those resources on creating new great games.

I'm a FFVII fanboy that would probobly buy the remake if it was released, but I'm completely satisfied with my original copy right now.

Why? What's the point of remaking a game JUST for graphics? The fact is, if they remake it, it WILL suck. But the fanboys only want better graphics. I'd rather have my little old psx copy, and shove it in. I don't see the point of making the same game, with the same story, with the same bosses, with the same monsters, yadda yadda yadda, just so you can have better graphics.

I would be completely stoked if they remade the game. FFVII was the best in the series in my opinion. I read an article not too long ago and it had pics of the opening scene, done with the technology of the PS3. It looked exactly like the new Advent Children movie. Which I am still dying to see Some people say that they should just forget it and make newer ones, but lately, I haven't been impressed with the way FF is going. Even if they don't remake it, I'd still like to see a sequel, such as the movie, in game form, because the characters in this FFVII were my favorite above all others. But I'll take what I can get. Bruner and his alter ego give either idea two thumbs up.

I don't really care for graphics, If they would remake the game with graphic changes only I probably wouldn't buy it. I'd rather set my hopes up for the psp sequel game. Don't get me wrong, this is my most favorite FF (game) ever but the original will always be the best to me.

Damn, I couldnt have said that better myself. That is a perfect point. While it would be nice to see it in new graphics, it is not necassary to increase the fun factor of an already interesting game. I mean, I would buy it as well but Im not going to jump off a bridge if they dont.

I would buy the remake if they made one, but I can live without it to be honest. If they really are going to do a remake, then all I hope is that they will outsource it to another developer. I will much rather have the good people at Square focusing on making something new.

Yea but one has to wonder if they can even come out with something new that is worth playing, seeing as all they can do now is pump out FFVII sequels, prequels, movies, and merchandise.

I really don't expect much more from SE. They've lost quite a bit of my respect over the last few years.

So I vote yes. I rather them use their resources on something they know will be good, rather than a crappy new game. But knowing them, they'll somehow screw the remake up.

And btw, please don't expect Dirge of Cerberus to be good.

Wow. They're really milking out of FF7. I dont find a FF7 remake necessary most especially if the only change would be the graphics. They should just create new/more original games. FF7 is a great game i understand that but they shouldn't focus on it all the time. I believe they've already given the FF7 fans enough

At first i thought remaking FF7 was a bad idea, because some people might not want it to be changed (now that its slightly old). But if people still go on FF1 and 2, the ANCIENT ones (which i havent even seen), then they will like a newer and better version of FF7. I know i would.

If this had been one or two years ago, I probably would be thinking of the potential remake as a good idea. With the release of Advent Children, however, I can now say with great certainty that a remake of Final Fantasy VII would submerge what is left of the original Final Fantasy VII deep, down under the radar. The Compilation of Final Fantasy VII does not stay true to Final Fantasy VII's original storyline, and modifies it in order to push through its own storylines.

If a remake is made, I don't expect it to be like the original Final Fantasy VII. If that really does become true, then I have no reason to play the game. It's not Final Fantasy VII anymore if the story is being modified, especially with Nomura's Compilation crap.
