Finla Fantasy VII is a master peice and to remake it would be a crime.. With SquareEnix's new style of games they would only ruin the game.. The game it self is perfect and If they did a remake than Cloud and company would probably get random voices that probably will not fit, Seconed If they did remake the game like all remakes they would shange the story line and thus destroy the game. It pisses me off when people say the graphics arent good enough and they should remake it. The thing is that graphics don't matter it is the experience knowledge and fun that make the game what it is. To remake the game is a crime.

I got to say that as much as i think that the FFVII dynasty could be ruined by the remake of the game, I would still buy it. I'd just have to see for myself if SE had truly crucified it. I love the game and I wouldn't say no to a remake, just please consider that SE could possibly be using the production time to bring me new FF's with new storylines. I love the game but I think that SE should be focusing on bringing us the next FFVII and not the last one.

My opinion is, if they remade it, I'd buy it, but if they didn't, so what, FFVII had it's glory and it's still carrying it out as the start of a new beginning in gaming history as the first game ever to have the CG movie clips inbetween gameplay and also one of the best storylines and biggest dramatic scene, not to mention they just spent a huge fortune on FFVII: AC and they're still working on releasing that all over the place...

Maybe in about 10 years they'll remake it, when other kids are older and hear about how great it is and want to play it themselves, and then they'll remake it to fit their tastes and start a new revolution in gaming that'll get them millions again, just right now is not the best to remake FF7, I mean look at it this way, they remade FF1-6 for Play Station for those who played 7 and higher and no longer owned SNES or NES anymore to fit the tastes of today as well, it'll happen, just give it time, you're seeing people here who would swing either way with FFVII, if they're going to remake it, they'll remake it when it's of the greatest profit to them.

Think about the remake, they'd be able to put in the things that didn't make it. Tidus' Adventures underwater where based on Cloud's (which never mad it). New features with Yuffie and Vincent would also be appreaciated. and finally

Spoiler: maybe revive Aeris but make it a long and confusing sidequest. Then play as Aeris to find and cast Holy.

I would love for there to be a new one. With the new one I can see the characters more clearer and also the enviorments would look extremly better.

im afraid im going to have to agree with the majority that square-enix, although makers of magical rpg's, is still a business. and businesses exist to make money so they will only do it after looking at every angle (which im sure there's a lot), and once they have hard facts it will do well, then they may flirt with the idea of remaking it in between other projects, so i wouldnt expect it for awhile.

but i've also said they may have just been waiting for a next generation gaming system like PS3, XBox360, or Nintendo Rev to be launched so they can develop a sequel for it, which would take much less time than an entire remake of FF7.

im for a remake, and im for a sequel. id give just about anything for one. but im also facing reality knowing it will be some time before that happens (ive been wanting a sequel since i beat VII).... until then... enjoy DoC, BC, CC, AC, and XII =)

ps - we're lucky to have this many spin offs of FFVII.... at least Square recognizes what their fans are interested in. hopefully it'll lead to a sequel. maybe if we pester them enough lol.... ;P

I believe they should remake FFVII for the newest Next-Gen consoles with current graphical levels in the same way they remade FFI and FFII with 16-bit graphics, they already have the looks of each character from the FMV scenes so it shouldn't be like they'd have to recreate everybody from scratch.

The characters don't have to be perfect human-looking sprites like in the latest FF games, just on par with the level of detail that was shown in the FMV videos.

That would be perfect.

for me remaking the game would be great because my ps2 has screwed up and wont play ps1 games any more but appart from that i think it would be a waste of time and money

It's gonna be for the PS3 if they end up making a new one. I seariously believe it will be worth the money, for the PS3 and the game. They remade the older Final Fantasy, and no one cared. But now that they are making a remake for 7, everyone is all over it. Seariously, whats the deal with that.

ok who else gets game informer mag because i mean i read in the lastest issue that they ARE GOING TO MAKE IT but that it will not have the same battle system(it will have FF12's).
