protest on not remaking ff7 in better graphics

I think it would b great. Anyway it's already a fantastic game, with mediocre graphics. So it'll become a fantastic game with fantastic graphics. I hope they do add a bit to the game, like an extra side quest or 2.

OK well my personal opinion is I would love to see it, I have been meaning to go through it again but due to the 1st CD being scratched and having other games Ive wanted to play I haven't started. I was going to order a new copy as its the only FF I have platinum I would prefer all originals but yeah. I was going to start a new topic but anyway here are some pics I found:

I dunno. If JUST the graphics are being altered, I'm not so sure I'd buy it. If they were too alter it a little further, maybe with expanded levels, items, new bosses, or some other sort of awesomely good easter egg just to play through it again (other than to see everything in delicious PS3 graphics), I would probably buy it.

They'd also have to slap a 29.99 sticker on it for me to consider it, truthfully. My original is working fine.

Top on my list of things they should do is make Aeris revivable...we all KNOW we want that.

Shit I don't. What the hell is the point? The game had ok graphics, admittedly lame polygons that were done better in the next two subsequent Final Fantasies. But still I find no point in remaking a game with better graphics that you can already own, and probably do already on an earlier and still existing system.

It's simply milking the cash cow and giving Squaresoft more money for a game I already own.

I want new games, not remakes.

i think they should just keep going with what there doing final fantasy V and final fantasy VI Advance then maybe make a final fantasy mystic quest advance or something cause i would like to see that game on the shelves again its a good one. but they need to focus on making new final fantasy's like 13 and new final fantasys for psp or nintendo ds.

some sources revealed that if they confirm the remake of FF7, it will take up to 5 years long to accomplish for PS3.
Actually i would be supporting the remake! It would be cool to see the fantastic graphics with your favourite FF7 characters in action in a realistic way. And of cors we will still keep the good old style of FF7 in our memories for sentimentals. After seeing Advent CHildren, remaking FF7 would be a big hit all over the world. Everyone happy. why not? hahaha....

Ok FF7 is my tied for 1st with my favorite games, which is why I am saying no. You guys are all like make ff7 because it can look more pretty! Get real! They well do it. To many people now days only care about damn graphics to care about story or anything, which is why RPG's are sucking so much, because of people that want better graphics.
Getting back on subject. Second reason, what should they change subtracting the graphics? They changed something with every remake they did, wether if it was difficulty, or opening, ect. So what would they change minus graphics, which if they do redo FF7 and only change graphics... It well be the first FF game remade that was remade just for graphics...
Finally... Why else would anyone care? What do you want to revive Aries? Do you want to take her on the Highwind? Why remake it? its a masterpiece! Why remake a already top 10 game ever made? Oh and whoever said that the game wasn't complete and that Aries ghost was a sidequest to bring her back to life... GET OVER IT SHE IS DEAD, NOT COMING BACK.... I would think Advent Children would clear that up... I guess not.

Not really. While I agree that it shouldn't be remade -- by the way, I'm sure they would add more into it than simply graphics into the newer version -- it wouldn't be a "new game" by any means. So no, it wouldn't be like repainting the Sistine Chapel or rewriting the Declaration of Independence, it would simply be like painting the same thing again with better paints somewhere else, or writing the Declaration on a modern poster. Same thing, but looks better.

I just don't think they'd do it because it'd take too much time and money, and they could invest that into the development of a new Final Fantasy (or any new game that Square/Enix produces) with much better results.

They should make a remake of FF6. That would be a much better idea since FF7 got its turn to be 3D.

Nevertheless, I would like an FF7 remake.

Ok... First thing first. I choose yes it should be remaid in better graphics. But if they do make it, and it has bad graphics, then I don't care. I could really not give a shit about graphics. All I care about is the gameplay. If they remake it, it better have the same storyline with more storyline added to it.

Another thing is that they are thinking about making FF7 again. But they are not sure yet. I saw tgis in my GameInformer Magazine.

I don't think that they will remake it. Not in better graphics at least. I don't really think that they should either. It was a mile stone game and shouldn't be fooled with.

I believe they will remake the game considering they did take the time and effort to make a ps3 demo. they probably told us they weren't going to make it were people wouldn't bother them to hurry up with it.

It ain't just better graphics I'd love to see in FFVII, it's also voices (a la FFX), Dolby Surround, more storylines, more quests, more Enemy Skills, more allies, more enemies, more WEAPONs, more side quests, and so forth. There a lot--and I mean A LOT that didn't make it in the game. After all, you never heard of a Director's Cut? When the much lamented Neo Geo came out with Fatal Fury Special, well......
