Final Fantasy VII remake is already in popular demand. Gamespot.com has stated that there is evidence that Square Enix tends to remake Final Fantasy VII for PS3. The remake would be full 3D like Final Fantasy X instead of prerendered backdrops. The realtime graphics may look more like Advent Children, but not exactly. The FMVs will also have better graphics, looking like Advent Children. It is not yet possible to update the game to graphics exactly Advent Children quality in realtime, but it is still possible to update the graphics to the standards of the near future. The soundtrack would be arranged instead of synthesized, being either orchestral arrangements or Black Mages style techno or rock arrangements. The remake may also feature gameplay streamlining, adding gameplay features introduced in Final Fantasy IX (such as equipment optimization) and Final Fantasy X (such as the ability to switch between characters during battle).

i think they should make a new ff7 but for the ps3 think ff7 for ps3 how good would that be for a ps3 game as a starter

If this is what they are actually thinking of doing with Final Fantasy VII, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'd like to see the game get a facelift like that. I'm sure that they would keep the same storyline, however, I'm sure if they did remake it, it would take quite a long while.

But we all know that it will happen eventually. I can't blame SE for milking FFVII. It's a business establishment, they're going to go with what the people want. They're ALREADY keeping something to themselves. Yoshinori Kitase, the producer for Dirge Of Cerberus couldn't give a statement when it came to the question of Final Fantasy VII. You know just by that, something is going down.

say no imo because the first time you play a game everything including the graphics comprises how good the game is in your mind..so to remake it, to me, would make it seem like ffX and X-2...and who wants to debase FFVII like that..

The lil' fanboys will go crazy u kno.I ain't no big fan of FFVII cause they make it seem like its the best already so with better graphics it will cause a riot on websites.I don't see how the story is so great.Sephy kills people u try to stop him and u are out leagued.The damn game has too much freaking customization.Hell u can make Barret a Black Mage with flaming magic pwr with Aeris/th being a bitch with a stick and high ATK.I aint like it and there I said it!And I am happy square is reconsidering making it.Let them focus on making FFVII as great as FFX and FFX2.hmph,am I seeing screwy or is this site's crest fashioned just like FFVII.See what I mean!

Why not remake the game...? We can replay the game in better graphics and the people who haven't play FF7 and doesn't know the storyline of FF7 and experience it...I'm for it!

You shouldn't knock FFX and FFX-2. My mouth still hangs open whenever I even see STILLS from that game. I have never played it and I know for a fact that eye candy can disappoint... but I would agree with Spira. A facelift in gameplay and small variations in storyline would go a long way. FF7 was far from perfect and it's battle system got old to me by the time I made it out of Midgar....

WHAT are you nuts this remake can lead on to other projects.The game ain't changeing its just getting a face lift.

um, it would be nice to see a better ffVll, they may even add in a few new things to do on there, but ffVll for ps 1 is still good even with the old graphics. but i love ffVll and would like to see a new one.
