I just beat crisis core *spoilers please don't look if not done*

WOW this may be the greatest game theres ever been. I just cried more than I have at a game ever and I didn't cry until cloud did and then I started bawling after I saw angeal coming to get zack this game may have just beat VIII as my fav of all time *sobs*

your thoughts?

What gets me is I kept hearing that the PS3 Tech Demo is at the end of the game. while the bit with Aeris is certainly directly lifted from that demo, the part with Cloud is significantly different to the point that I'm wondering more and more about this 'remake' business. Wouldn't it be interesting to see a version of FFVII re-imagined around the game mechanics of Crisis Core? I'm not saying it would be perfect...but perhaps sufficiently different that it wouldn't make those of us who remember the original so fondly cringe so much at little inconsistencies. (Basically so different that it doesn't matter if they skim over obvious plot points, like in Crisis Core).

Either way...it was a good ending, even if it was a bit corny. And I'm left not knowing what to think of Genesis at all. If he's become one with the Planet/is being protected by the Planet how was he ever a villain? How can he go on BEING an antagonist, basically, even if Minerva is a goddess of war?

there was one thing that made me think about one of the missions were zack fights 200 shinra soldier if he was able to complete that mission how come he couldnt take on the ones at the end i mean i knew he dies from FF7 but im just saying didnt they think about that mission

But in all it was the best game EVER man it was awesome glad it was the first game i bought when i got my psp and i hope the do go with the remake of FF7

Well there was the one with 1000 Shin-Ra soldiers...but then he didn't have helicopters shooting missiles at him during those missions, did he? Apparently only Vincent can withstand a direct helicopter assault...but then he did have a ranged weapon to take care of most of the missiles before they got to him.

I dunno...it is a bit unbelievable, but then its much better than him just getting shot to death by one solider, as it was in the original game. If they had stuck to that I just wouldn't have bought him dying at all.

well if you think about it without him getting shot and that was sad then there wouldn't be a FF7 at all but what really got to me was the end of the game whole the DMW as acting up and all

Yes...I think it was probably meant to underline how much Zack was hurting...how exhausted he was. Traveling across continents, snatching rest only between fighting off monsters, soldiers, and freaks. Having to look after a complete invalid through it all. The final hurtle what could essentially be called the ENTIRE Shin-Ra army for the amount of soldiers and hardware used. Anyones mind would be in pieces...in the end he only had one person on his mind.

Seeing the ending of this game was the closest i have ever come to crying in any game ever. During that final fight i knew i had to lose but i kept fighting and fighting hoping maybe if i keep killing them Zack wont have to die.But that was pointless so after like an hour of fighting and fighting i let them kill me.
Seeing Zack all beaten up and bleeding fighting to his last breath to protect cloud when he could have just ran but he refused to leave cloud behind. He died to protect Cloud. When i saw this happening, and when i saw Angeal coming to help Zack though it all and when he handed Cloud the Buster sword and told him that cloud had to live for both of them i nearly lost it and almost cried but i managed to keep it in.
Before this game i thought that Zack was just some sissyboy loser and a cloud wannabe. But after this game i have so much respect for him. He didnt deserve to die and he is the only reason that cloud didnt die, plus he saved the world from Genesis and all of the copies. Zack is easily my second favorite character in all of the FF games now.

I know how you all feel on this subject. Watching that ending was crazy. I kept saying damn after damn, it was like I felt his pain. You really find out why cloud was like the way he was too. I mean anyone who could single handingly take on an multitude of armies is definitely a BEAST, and you are going to eventually fall the way it looked. Cloud was there at the end, and I think it fueled him, like some kind of bond, he became Zack's living legacy. I will say this again like I have other posts, but Zack is my favorite character of all time from any video game series. His story line was so compelling. I hope that SE brings a main character like Zack more often into the FF series.

yeah I totally agree!!Zack is one of my favorite characters!!when I got to the end I started tearing up during the final battles, then when I got the ending I just started crying and I couldn't stop!!

Well, I didn't cry at the end, but...

It truly ended epic-ly (that's SO not a word...) and I really loved the ending. I just wish Zack could've kept living...89 letters, and he only saw one...?

That is absolutely depressing...and so cute at the same time! lol

If it was just the ending where Zack got shot, it wouldn't have been as sad. Instead, they make you fight with Zack during his final battle. Pretty hard to watch Zack die. I'm like, why won't they stop coming? It was also sad about the final DMW memories, and how they faded from his mind, with Aerith being the last thoughts in his head. I think Zack is my favorite character of Final Fantasy as a whole. At the start, he seemed like just another protaganist, and he seemed more like Tidus then anything. However, as the story progressed, he became more mature and likable. I wished he didn't have to die, but that's the fate of all things. Not to mention VII wouldn't have been the same if he did. Goodbye, Zack Fair.

well i finished it for about 5 times....including the missions...which is kinda hard..
i always watch the end cause its sad...and thats the last time ill see zack..in the whole game..(of course) and its soo dang easy...but i hate the missions..

I thought the ending was really sad. In FFVII you don't feel Zack or Cloud's pain at that point, because it wasn't in any detail at all. Seeing the end was sad, and nearly made me cry. The saddest part was where you had to actually be Zack, dragging his sword across the floor, and he was all beat up and slow, and all you could do is just watch as you died. I really felt for Cloud as well as he watched his best friend die, and when Zack handed him the Buster sword was really sad.

This game has made Zack my favourite FFVII character of all time.

OMG really one of the best games ive bought all year!!! and ive bought alot.

The ending made one of my mate burst out crying which is like WOW!!!! Cause he always says that he never cries

As for me i came close but i didn't cry but it was definately very emotional.Zack is still not my favorite character but hes definatly up there. what a trooper!!
