I liked the game, it was fun to play through. However, I feel that they could have done more with the gun customisation, and also could have lengthened the game slightly. The storyline was confusing at times too, but that was to be expected

As with all parts of the compilation, I like seeing the old characters in a new light. It was good to see more of a focus on Vincent too.

Yeah I think it was good, I agree with Shaun, it could have been a lot longer, I completed it in a few days. The storyline was confusing but that helps forums such as TFF as it gets us talking about it!

I think one day...everything will be clear and none of us will moan any longer about confusion over the storylines in all the FF games

yeah probably i didnt understood all of it...but i can tell all the story...there are just things that nobody can explain like....how did Vincent had all that dreams with Lucrecia before meeting Shelke or....how can a woman live in a crystal XD!!!...but the game wasnt confusing to me....there are just always something that u never understood after playing a game...

i liked the the game i wouldnt say it was great but it was definatly good, anyway i liked it but it did get a lot of really bad reviews.

I enjoyed the storyline VERY much but I hated the fact it felt I was just playing Devil May Cry but not a lot of effort went into the core-gameplay.

I feel Square have tried to emulate DMCs gameplay but have failed really bad. The game isn't exactly bad, it's just ok. Nothing special.

I would have liked to see more of a focus on melee attacks too. He was stuck with very limited melee attacks that got old very quickly.

I though DC sucked. I beat the game in 3 hours, and the game was very boring. It barely kept my attention. I hate the GAME!

I have to agree with Bahamut1990, the game did seem rather short for something that had a big build-up to it. Thats the one thing I felt let it down. Still, its a great game which why I voted it as that. The whole customizing of the weapons was a good idea but more could have been added to it. The storyline though was pretty awesome. It kept my attention for as longas I played it.

So in the end: Great game, could have been better.

Like Itachi, it was too short for me, but a good game none-the-less. Too easy too, it could have been a bit more difficult and well just plain longer then I expected.

i enjoyed the game, i feel this was a different approach by the squaresoft company. A first person shooter and a great one at that. i think the ending was a lil confusing with the short movies every like 5 seconds but other then that very enjoyable to play.

I enjoyed DoC myself, though not really so much the first playthrough. Playing it on the hardest difficulty and unlocking everything were the real joys of DoC. And while the main storyline was a little to easy no matter how you went about it, some of the unlockables were a good bit more challenging. And there's no feeling like holding a hybrid long range rifle/machine gun/assault rifle thing with fire magic. And I liked the story too. Even if it took a couple of playthroughs to understand it all.

Ugh o", not made for shooters but I did beat the game!! yay!! It didn't captivate me like FF usually does oh well wasn't the best but still it wasn't that bad I tried the hard mode first ugh i'm really crazy It was the second shooter game I played after playing Like 2 times at 007 james bond on N64

Many people are saying it was too short but a lot of other games are just... too long. Besides, it was a side story anyway and was kinda meant to be short. Plus, there were extra missions and stuff you could go back to and a bunch of other things to unlock. So yeah. Personally I enjoyed it. I thought the battle system was great. I don't really like the battle systems they use in other final fantasies but the whole first person thing made me like it a lot. It was nice to see a side story of Vincent as well. He was one of the greater characters in seven and it made me understand him more.

So anyway... in conclusion, I liked this game. XD

It was okay.
I really wanted no know more about the FFVII world, but, somehow, I just got bored.
The environments weren't all that great, maybe that's what did it and I just quit on my way to the Shinra Mansion, yeah, I didn't last long.
I might finish it one day, right now, I have other games that I'd rather finish first.

I do have a place in my heart for this game, but I too feel that it could have been just, well, more!!! I thougt the idea was fantastic (yaya Vincent in his own game!) and there was a hell of a lot of potential, but it was a short game, and some of the story was a bit cringy and melodramatic. Lucrecia totally bombed for me, they made her really whiny, and Hojo was just incredibly annoying. But it was great to say I never play shooters, I got into it and had a good time.
