Exactly what I was about to post!

You could watch AC and find it entertaining; however, to understand the film properly you should either play FFVII or talk to a friend who can explain it all in detail.

I am determined to get every single thing in FF 7, and then I will watch AC. If is preferable by my bf as well. He knows everything about FF7, so I tend to do it as I hear it. I really want to see it though. I have seen some of the music videos, and I am not dissapointed. I don't think that you HAVE to play it to watch it though. I would think it would be like any other movie in that sense. But out of pure FF fanness I would play the game first an get a love for the characters. MAkes it more personal.

As someone said, you can just watch the bonus "Reminicense of", if you don't feel like going through the whole game.
The quick story review is a Godsend when you want to brush on this or that event and don't fel like starting a new file.

I dunno I am too intuned with this orgianl story at the moment. Fighting my way to the truth. It is more meaningful that way. If you see the movie first wouldn't it take that away?

I bought Advent Children and IT was awsome the Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII really helped.

I got the story pretty much completly, So to awnser my own question, No u dont have to had played FFVII to understaind and enjoy Advent Children.

How about i ask u why tifa said "Are we been defeated by our own memory" at the room after cloud said he want to meet Rufus.

U maybe understand a little but not the whole story without playing the game.

Yes you do need to have played FFVII to be able to understand everything in AC because you need to know there background. Also I think you would apprecate AC more if you knew a lot about FFVII
