US Premiere of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

This Monday the US Premiere of the long awaited Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was shown at the Arclight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. This was the first time the film had been seen in English, after it's Japanese release last year.

The English version has all the same features, such as great action scenes, including motorcycle and aerial combat - and not to mention a brilliant Sword fight between Cloud and Kadej. There are a few differences between the Japanese and the US versions, most notably the character voice overs, with a completely new voice cast featuring in the US version.

Some lucky Final Fantasy fans even managed to grab some freebies, such as PSP accessories and Calendars. For anybody that wasn't lucky enough to be at the premiere, Avdent Children goes on sale April 25th on both UMD and DVD.

Hope it doesn't turn out to be a dissapointment from the Japanese version. I would have loved an AC calendar though

It's the same other than the voices.

Then again, the Japanese version was pretty dissapointing.

Huh.. And here I thought it went on sale on the 28th.. Must have gotten my wires crossed again. *sighs*

That really would have been a once in a lifetime kind of thing and the people that went probably had a wonderful time as much for the atmoshere and luck as for the movie itself. It'll still be nice to grab it on DVD though, I've been avoiding watching the Japanese version myself simply because I dont want the movie ruined by badly translated subs or poor quality, so this'll be my first time seeing it.

Um, apparantly the US get it on April 25th where as Europe and a lot of other places in the world get it on the 24th. Here in England, we get it on the 24th. *Cheers* I've been waiting for ages, I thought that Advent Children was awesome when I watched it in September last year. I can't wait to hear the voices, Steve Burton is doing Cloud's and he was really good in Kingdom Hearts. It's gonna be weird though hearing their voices and then their mouths moving completely out of sync, cuz that's how it's gonna be...

YEEEEEEESSS! Not long to wait now! *jumps up and down* ok... i sound a bit hyper, but its been so long waiting for a UK release and its coming! w00t! Its a bit annoying that USA has all these big premieres but UK doesnt... well, sometimes if you live in London. *sigh* I want me some freebies!

Bout time if you ask me. It was supposed to come out a day after it did in Japan, if I recall what the end of that trailer said on the Official Advent Children website, but ah well, I hope this wait is worth it though. I seen the Japanese version already, just couldnt wait lol. Im curious to see it in English though, Quinton Flynn is Reno, Quinton Flynn Ftw. I noticed that Quinton Flynn is a voice actor in like 9/10 games that has voices lmfao..

Well... english dub is missing emotions in voices. Japanese voice actors rulez!!!
But i am looking forward to hear Quinton Flynn. In MGS2 as a Raiden he was great.
