FULL English Dub Cast for AC Revealed! (and a close release date)

Hot on the heels of the Kingdom Hearts II voice cast, which was announced just last week, comes the first peek at the English-language voice cast of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, which has been delayed repeatedly due to some last minute signings, most notably that of American Beauty jailbait, Mena Suvari, who was brought on to perform the voice of Aerith Gainsborough in not only Kingdom Hearts II, but also to reprise the role in Advent Children. While Sony's DVD head of marketing, Mike Stratford, was quoted talking all kinds of crap to The Digital Bits, claiming that we'd see the release of Advent Children in North America by "end of 2006" (causing much consternation among Final Fantasy fans nationwide), 1UP is glad to inform you that the DVD and UMD will ship in the U.S. on April 25, 2006. So in case you haven't already downloaded the movie from the Internet (bad, pirates, bad!) and are looking forward to seeing this hour-and-a-half slice of CG Final Fantasy fan-service for yourself, you've roughly two months to go. Here's the mostly anonymous voice cast, with the exception of Rachel Leigh Cook (Tifa), and Mena Suvari (Aerith), with Steve Burton playing the role of Cloud Strife (he was the voice of Cloud in Kingdom Hearts 1). But who cares about that when it can finally be revealed that "Girl" will be played by Andrea Bowen? [Editor's Note: This information pertains specifically to the English dub, and does not indicate whether or not the original Japanese language track will be included -- featuring English subtitles -- which it will, because Square Enix is very aware that that's how their fans like it.]

Crispen Freeman <3 I always love his work, he is a good VA, so I will be curious to how he does. VAing for Rude sounds a little odd, but it should work. I find it good news that Lance Bass is not playing Sephiroth, if George Newburn played Nooj, then he should be a pretty good voice for Sephiroth Nooj had a nice voice.

Seems like SE is releasing a lot of things in the Spring time. KHII, FFXI:ToAU, and now FFVII:AC. I wonder else will make it to US shores, FFXII is coming, but that is only for Japan.

Also, Quintin Flynn played Jack/Raiden in MGS2 and Issaaru in FFX/X-2. I think it's a nice cast, Square does know what it's doin' (duh). Hopefully, the result will be as smashing as people hope! (And I hope so too!)

What the hell are you talking about, this is 1up We're talking about here. One of the most reliable video game news sites on the 'net. Considering they don't mention a specific source (like another webpage). It's best to assume that they got word from SE themselves. S-E DOES give news to the major Video Game Press sites.

Well from the names in there that I saw I'd have to say they're good choices. Steven Blum is an excellent voice actor, and I think he'll do wonderful job. Crispin Freeman of course is intense as Albedo, but will so an awesome job as Rude. Dave Wittenburg is one of the beetr known people so he's also a good choice. I don't know all these names, but for the ones I do, I'd have to say they've chosen well.

I recognise one pop star, but I think she is very suiting to the role: Christy Romano. (Everybody Loves Raymond-She is the daughter of the main star and BOY did she inherit her dad's good lucks.) She has been on a couple of Disney shows, but nothing big.

I think they are trying REALLY hard to not make the mistake of Spirits Within. With no really distinct or recognisable voice talents, the voices can bond with their characters. You won't be expecting to see someone else.

Nothing big, are you kidding? Kim Possible and Even Stevens are pretty big, I have to say. And I really wouldn't call her a pop star for singing ONE song. Though.. I'm not sure if she's sang more than the KP intro.

What has he done? I don't really know voice actors by name... Although I was just wondering, as I was reading that list, whether Spike would be in this movie. Heh. That guy is a cool voice actor (Steve Blum). I recognize him in a lot of things; isn't he also the voice actor for the main character in Big O, and wasn't he the voice of the bad guy in the original Mobile Suit Gundam, too?

I also like Jet Black's voice actor (Beau Billingslea, right?) I can totally see him doing the voice of Barret. Probably.

I don't know that I recognize many of the other names, except Rachel Leigh Cook (although I don't know from where... I suppose I could look it up on imdb.com, or whatever that is... but I'm lazy ) I also have no clue about the authenticity of something posted by "1up.net," or whatever.
