Man I'm so stupid. Disregard all previous posts I made before on this thread about who it was. (BTW, when I said Jenova protects you from death, the proof is in lucrecia, she died giving birth to seph but if you get vince's storyline, she is clearly not dead. Hence why I say it brings you back from death and somewhere in the story someone ((I think Lucrecia)) tells you it does just that) I saw some new trailers and I am 100% sure it is Rufus. First: We all know his voice is in the cast. Second: One of the close-ups show a white suit. Third: Kadaj calls WCP "Mr. President". Fourth: There are Shinra posters in the background of wherever the WCP resides. Hehe, the last one doesn't prove much but it's more likely to pertain to Rufus then Seph who also hates Shinra. Another few things, Sephiroth is too tall to be him. Cloud talks to WCP/Rufus calmly, if it was Seph, he'd rush to kill him. Plus it's the things that WCP/Rufus says to Cloud that confirms so many things.

Hmm, wow, does anyone have a link to this subtitled trailer? I have seen only one trailer and that was the original one, all in Japanese with "One Winged Angel" playing in the background. I guess i'm pretty far behind on FFVII:AC news.

yeah i believe its president rufus as well, there is a scene in one of the trailers that i saw, with rude standing behind the cloaked guy. rude used to and still might work for the president.
i think he's probably burnt etc from diamond WEAPON attacking shinra building. that's why he's cloaked.

i read a review of someone who went to see the 25/30 minute screening of FF AC and they said that the WCM was called 'mr president' i highly doubt it that its the old man, rufus' dad. Anyways, in the game we aren't 100% sure Rufu died, we just assussed so. besides he's ot the whole white thing going. I rest my case!!!!

Rufus. Its Rufus, firstly we only THOUGHT he died because of the explosion. Secondly, hes wearing a cloak over his body (to hide all the scars perhaps?). And I've thought it was him for a loooong time, I heard they already made it official that it was him.

SPOILERS HERE ON IN:
It's been confirmed it's Rufus, which all the trailers allude to anyway, as does the location of the man. But I think it is so beyond dumb to bring him back to life. Not only was he hit by energy blasts the size of him, he had the tower EXPLODE with him in. Really stupid! Especially considering he still has the majority of his face as seen in some of the later trailers. |

I know that we've already established that it's Rufus, but just to add more to it, I recently read online about the storyline and it is mentioned that Rufus is infected with Geostigma and it's so bad that he has to be in a wheelchair... So yeah, that kind of gives it away.
But my question is... why is the leader of the Silver Haired Men (I think his name is Kadaj) bowing down to Rufus? I also read that Rufus has asked Cloud to protect him from the three Silver Haired Men... so... this leads me to think that maybe Kadaj met with Rufus to ask for help with his plans...? And maybe Rufus promised Kadaj some things out of fear, but actually doesn't want to help them and so he fears for his life...? These are all just theories... because it's strange that Kadaj would bow to Rufus and then Rufus would go and ask Cloud for help. Also, does anyone know how the hell the SHM got Jenova's head?? o.O I thought, you know, we killed her... or at least we must have cut her up into pieces right? After that explosion at the end, I wouldn't expect her head to still be in one piece. ...And if Hojo comes back... I will be the happiest little FF7 fan ever. ^^' I love Hojo, you have to, he's so damn twisted! |
