Who do you think is the weelchair person? (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children)

My bet is on sephiroth, but it would be pretty crazy of hojo came back after he got his a** kicked badly

I can probably tell you as a fact that Sephiroth is NOT the WCM. He has his own part to play a little later in the dvd. I do however stick with my choice of it being Rufus. In some of the screenshots that I've seen, blonde hair can be seen under the veil of the WCM. He is who I am betting for.

One other tidbit of information is you all should check out the casting for this movie. Rufus is in it.

The WCP is Rufus,I guess....It is because Kadaj called him "Mr.President".Does that ring any bell?

If the WCP is Rufus, then thats kinda weird. Wonder what he'll be back for? Maybe he wants a date with Tifa! haha

Hojo looked quite different the the wheelchair guy. Even though he was mangled and deformed from the materia exposure, no way could he end up looking very similar to Sephiroth after all he's been through. ^^

So in my opinion it seems to be Sephiroth (unfortunately) risen from the grave, in some magled some what lifeless state from over exposure to the life stream (similar to what Cloud expeirienced late in FFVII). And that would make sense considering the place kinda... exploded with lifestreamy stuff at the end of the game...

It seems Square Enix likes to revive their badguys for sequals these days, they did the same thing (much to my displeasure) to Kingdom Hearts. Arg.

What Gil Galad said makes me think there's a better chance that the WCP is Sephiroth. But then what's with Rufus? I wonder

does it matter thta they are dead its supposed to be final fantasy it could be hojo,sephiroth,zacks spirit rised from the dead due to esire to live.

In a sort of spoiler mention here, if you've seen the little presentations and shows and such on FFVII ADVENT CHILDREN.... you'd probably realise that Sephy has his own part to play. He is actually seen, unmangled, in his revived form coming to face Cloud. Some people may have even discovered who the WCM really is in one of the presentations as a written summary describes that the WCM takes off his robe and stands up, revealing an extreme case of GeoStigma. I still think that it is Rufus. No matter what anyone says. I really don't see Rufus as just coming back in the form of a memory or flashback, and he is officially voice-acted in the movie.

Sephy is also voice-acted but I believe for different parts, not the WCM. Just my opinion.

Rufus... for most part its cause the Newest Trailer on the website shows a clean image of His face. along with him talking for some time.

Rufus didnt die. he was Parilized by what happend. but many expect him to be dead.

It's Rufus.Zack dead.Hojo dead.Seph dead. Rufus not dead. You know that the wheelchair dude has got only one arm, right? Remember the cutscene from the game where diamond weapon shot those wierd energy balls towards midgar and one of them hit the office(or whatever)of Rufus. Then you saw the explosion and you could clearly see that Rufus was covering his face with his other arm, see?And you never actually saw him die. Zack died, and you defeated hojo and seph yourself. Think about that!

Sorry, forgot one thing. If you have seen the trailer where are the english subtitles you know that the wheelchair man says something like "we are investigating the effect Sephiroth had on this world" to Cloud. Now i don't think that Seph would talk about himself in third person, TO CLOUD! Or would he?

I believe it is Rufus. For starters we did not actually see him die. Yes we saw Weapon's beam destroy the ShinRa Headquaters and all, but we did not have any confirmation that Rufus actually really did die.
My second reason would be what the WCP looks like. He resembles something close to Rufus and not to mention in several screenshots we see Rude standing guard next to the WCP. Why would the Turks stand next to anyone else?

I agree with Rain McCloud and the theories/reasons given by this person. It is only my opinion, and may not be right. But I highly doubt it be Zack (we saw him die, okay?), neither Sephiroth but the option of it being Hojo sounds likely although I doubt it is him.

Could it be Sephiroth's Child? Perhaps... He has those Mako eyes...

EDIT: It's Rufus.

They said that with the power of "Mother" (JENOVA) they could make another Sephiroth. Why would there need to be another if he was still alive? And why would he talk about himself in the 3rd person and ask CLOUD for help? The subtitles really clear it up. It's Rufus.

Man, this is some deep stuff. I wonder if there's another discussion thread...
