Hardest boss for you to fight in FFVI

What boss in the entire game (SNES, PSX, GBA excluding all rom hacks) of FFVI did you find most difficult?

The one that I find the most difficult is the Skull Dragon you fight in the dragon's den. If you didn't have ribbon equipped on your party starting that battle, you were pretty much done for and it takes FOREVER to drain its MP which is how you beat it.

Yeah, def. the Skull Dragon, unless there's something in the colosseum that I don't know about. But VI seriously needs some harder bosses, if not a superboss. I heard of one in the Japanese version that wasn't included in the other releases, which was a stupid decision on their part.

sadly, i havent found all the dragons to get into the den, but for me it was cactuar. Not so much hard as it was a pain in my freakin backside.

When I first played FFVI, it had to of been Vargas. I could never get his stupid blitz to work (Though I am now a master at blitzes *insert evil laughter here*).

But now, with the GBA version, it had to of been Leviathon. Took me a lot of grinding to get my hp and defense high enough to survive his attacks.

I personally dont find the dragons den Skull dragon to be hard. All you really need to do is have a ribbon and keep on casting Rasp. Its a long fight not a hard one. The Red Dragon (DDen) was kinda hard and Kaiser did give a a run for my money but Omega was pretty hard. I swear you cant beat that thing unless you be cheap(Quick + Masters Scroll + Ultima weapon or Quick + Soul Of Thamsa + Ultima + Celestraid)

Like come on he uses attacks like Grand Delta (5000ish on everyone) and Forsaken on everyone. O yea for the colleseum, Segfried is pretty hard

None. They all die pretty quickly with the 8 Ultima hits. I just have the other three constantly heal with Curaga.

I seem to remember wasting about 45 or a full hour trying to destroy the haunted painting. Stupid thing kept healing itself and half my guys weapons didn't affect it. It's been years, I just remember alot of screwing around before it died.

not all bosses in the game nowadays die just by physical attacks and powerful offensive spells. if you played the gba version theres a certain boss that you have to literally drain all its mp to even kill it.

well im currently playing this final fantasy on a super nintendo emulator and im only at the start of the world or ruins. So far for me there haven't been any hard bosses at all. But looking forward to fight harder ones.

I haven't fought every optional boss in the game, so for me it's Kefka. xD" All these forms were just difficult. (Especially the third.. it killed me one or two times before I finally could beat him <.<") It was also quite hard because you had to choose which characters you used first. And then if someone died the others followed. Quite.. annoying, if you make some mistakes like I did. (For example taking Umaro into the team at the second or third place -.- I died just because I couldn't control him >//<)
To sum it up, Kefka was really really hard for me .,.

If you dont use deathblow on him,Vargas was a pretty difficult one to battle.

Actually I don't remember I had problems with any boss in the game, didn't have any hard times beating this game. The only boss who's been a challenge was Kefka, he managed to beat my two strongest characters but only because I was careless enough. Luckily the other characters were on a decent level so I didn't had any major problems beating him.

Hardest boss in FFVI? I haven't played the Remake or any rom HACKs, so... I'm going to say that a SCC Final Kefka is definietly one of the hardest.

The guy on top of the Fanatics' Tower? Nobody's said that guy yet? Only one time have I waited to fight him until I learned Life3 -- otherwise, the final Ultima would wipe me out, so I had to resort to Rasp and Osmose to drain all of his MP. The good part was that once his MP was drained, he tried Ultima and died, so I didn't have to worry about wiping out his HP too.

And just damaging him was a pain. You can only use magic, and he's immune to most of it -- and when you find out what he's not immune to, he changes it. What a bastard.

Why? Well, mostly because when I fought him, I had at best, a level 40 team of Terra, Edgar, Relm, and Strago. (I read it was a magic-only place.) I wasn't expecting an Ultima to the face after killing him. O_o
