FFVI advance.

Hey.
I was just playing FFVI advance and DIED.

But thats not what got my attention. What caught my attention is that me experience and levels didn't revert to what they we're when I last saved. instead they we're what they we're when i died.

Pretty cool but it kinda removes some of the challenge from the game.

That's how it goes in some of the updates... by advance do you mean the handheld version or the PS version?

The handheld(GBA) version. I'd figure advance ebing in the title would be enough to discern the two versions.

As for the PSX version i wouldn't know i've never played it.

The original game was like that too, you know.

FFVI Advance was not only made a little harder in difficulty, but it also marked the return of keeping experience even though you had died (though not any of your gold/gil or items). This isn't an improvement or takes away from the original because, it was already there.

On that note, the PSX version didn't revert/keep exp when you died, if you want more of a challenge that way, and wanted to watch all the PSX CG's.

Had to be sure... some people consider the PS version "advanced", though there really aren't many differences... just wanted to see what someone else thought about it...

Well, I think it's safe to say that the Advance versions are those on the Gameboy Advance...go figure. I don't think that takes away much from difficulty anyways, though...I mean, would you have gone through that much of the game exactly as you had before anyways? Obviously that didn't do you much good the first time around...It just makes it so you don't have to go around doing extra leveling that you've already done.

Leveling=/=Difficulty

But I suppose it's kind of subjective...?
