OMG

You have to be kidding me! This is insane! Finally, the General will be brought to greatness. It's about damn time Square!! As a hardcore General Leo fan (hence the name and sig and avatar ). I wonder how leo will stack up in comparison with everyone else in battle, i would hope he's a complete beast. Maybe a cross between like Celes and Cyan? Abilities wise..i wonder what else he'll learn since Shock is all he has when you play as him. Hopefully he'll come with an offering equipped. i have to say that this is amazing news, but wow Gesthal too? Status portraits don't lie..this is absolutely crazy. This makes me want to play the game even more..grrr!

You're right it is a tough choice but come on General Leo here??

I would just make sure a lot of your party has learned all the spells before getting rid of it, though obviously the summon itself is very useful. As long as they have life 2 and life 3 learned, i wouldn't mind though, because everything else can be learned through other espers.

I'm really curious about these findings. Hopefully more information will be leaked about it..like what summons does Gesthal use? You're definitely a great FF VI-Advance sleuth though Cain, so i'm sure if the information is out there you can find it.

I'm still not completely convinced this is true but i guess we'll see.

Well a lot of people are crying out "FAKE" thinking photoshop or gameshark hack namely about Gestahl. I don't know why someone would go through so much trouble though, I mean the recent FF ports have been about adding "new" characters in some way (except FFI and V). It looks very legit to me.

They say Gestahl has the Summon command, which I know of having worked on my hack. It was dummied out in the original, and apparently very glitchy and unusable. I think with the right game genie codes, one could get it to just summon an equipped Esper as many times as you wanted provided you had the MP. I haven't been too sure about that.

Also it seems like you can fight tougher versions of the dragons, with Higher HP and brand new weapons from other FF games like Save the Quees, Apocalypse, Scorpian Tail, Godhand, and so on.

The dummied out Czar/Kaiser Dragon, an unused enemy in the original, is engagable, and as someone pointed out, he has brand new demonic wing on his back. I'll pull up the comparison pic later.

There's also new palette swapped enemies like Omega Weapon, Princess Flan, and others

That would definitly make the game a definite play through for me. I doubt I'd bother if it was a direct port. The port for ps1 was disustingly disapointing. But a some new boss, characters and general content would definitly make me go buy it. Hopefully what they say is true.

Holy god, this almost brings a tear to my eye, this is great news indeed, FF6 will be the best "advance" Final Fantasy game, no doubt now. New summons, Gestahl, Leo, the addition of Czar/Kaiser Dragon, more bosses, harder bosses, its like freakin awesomeness, bwahaha *spammy post*
Yeah, I wonder if they are going to fix all the glitches, I am pretty sure they would though, seeing as this is not going to be a direct port, or at least it doesn't look that way, I think they may have actually re-done everything from the ground up...

*edit* after the excitement fizzled down a bit, I went on a search for the link, because the one up there doesn't work (for me) and found a random forum that had been talking about this exact thing, and there doesn't seem to be much credibility, oh well *sulks off to mourn his once happiness, nursing a bottle of beer.*

Yeah, it actually looks like Czar/Kaiser Dragon are real, I knew the rest were real. You get Leo through sacrificing Phoenix at Leo's grave(supposedly), but Gestahl, I haven't heard anything about how to get him, anyone have any ideas? I wouldn't have any clue about how to get him, honestly, haha.
