New Info on FFVI for GBA

The Japanese version just released, and I just got an email from Amazon Japan that my copy has shipped!

(Amazon won't ship directly to the States, so I have to get it sent to my brother-in-law in Japan, who'll then send it to me. I hope to get it before the end of the month, but my brother-in-law can sometimes be slow in shipping stuff to me.)

I don't suppose there's any word that this release will have any type of 3D rendering, or updated graphics like Final Fantasy III for DS? Or any cinematics?

I'd re-purchase this release just for the new updates in the game, but was hoping maybe for some 3D-goodness

Am I the only one bugged by the idea of the party killing Espers for Magicite?

And what about the translation. Are we gonna get new translation by the person who did the one on Star Ocean:Till the end of time (can't remember his name) or the same old Ted Woosley one? Well they better bring us end of endings with different characters say or do something not just Terra letting her hair free with wind blowing.

Well, there have only been rumours on that, but honestly, if it happens, it won't be any time soon. this is just a GBA release of the same ol game with a few extras thrown in. Personally, I wouldn't want the game to change, I love 2Dness .

*stares blankly* uhm, well, I don't think the people at Squenix intentionally tried to make it seem like you and your party was just going around slaying Espers for magicite...

*once again stares blankly* uhm, well, nobody really knows but Squenix North America who's translating the NA version 'til the release, so, that will just be a wait and see type thing, but I am more than positive they aren't going to change the ending, it is just a port, it isn't being redone completely. Now, what I do see happening is the game continuing past the ending (and if you steal from the 3rd tier monsters, you get an extra Atma Weapon, which kicks ass) much like the other FFA titles. Which is when you will get access to the extra dungeons and stuff. I am really looking forward to the NA release of this game, which is slated for February I do believe (right around my b-day!)

(sigh) Look if they leave the ending as it is there's gonna be people who are pissed off at people who used Terra as their religion. Now if they make changes we might see Locke grab ether her or Celes and kiss okay Darkdragoon you with me so far?

Looks like this is one I need to get since its my fave of the series and I haven't played it since Super Nintendo.

This was the first FF game I played back when I still had a SNES. This is really great news!
