New Info on FFVI for GBA

OMG, how could i forget the SNAFU on the trigger event for the Shadow rescue instead of Relm, "She is still sleeping" I think is the text, lmao, wow, good times, oh well.

The Atman or Atma is a philosophical term used within Hinduism and Vedanta to identify the soul
It actually makes more sense to call the weapon Atma instead of Ultima, as it's largely not considered the ultimate weapon in the game. You may disagree with me, but it's just a difference in opinion...

Yeah i agree that it's not the ultimate weapon in the game, i'm just saying the name Ultima Weapon, and how all the other ones in the series have used Ultima instead of Atma. If the others had used Atma, it would all go together, but FF VI is the only that has it that way. They even make a joke about it in X-2. Really i have no problem with the word itself, just for the sake of continuity i'd rather see it be Ultima Weapon.

Haha yea that's funny about they did that with Shadow, just a minor little thing, but really sticks out none the less. I'd also like to see Kefka going into fullout cuss mode..i think it'd be hilarious. Your screenscrap cracks me up everytime i see it.

This screen shot looks alot like fire emblem the latest ff game i got on GBA is FFIV and i have beaten it countless amounts of time if you think europe has to wait forever for things to come out try living in Australia!!!! we get everything 8 months after their release date in America!!!!!!!!

*looks at my avatar and siggy* Fire Emblem? nahhhhh *insert smartarse comment here*. lol, joking, but, back on topic, yeah, we will have to wait and see what they do, as this was (I think) the first time "ultima" weapon appeared in a final fantasy, and with the text limit, it was changed to atma because the whole thing couldnt be fit.. oh well, It's a matter of preference, and I would hope people wouldn't pitch a btch over stupid crap like that, but it doesnt seem that way *shrugs*
On a side note, I would like to see kefka go off on a cussing spree, but I still kinda liked Woozly's one-liner there "You people sound like the pages out of a self help booklet" priceless, makes me let out a chuckle every time I see it.

Yeah you're right it is the first time..i guess lookin at it that way, maybe all the newer ones should be changed to Atma. Not the first weapon though..Omega Weapon was in FF V. I really wouldn't care that much either way if they changed it or not though.

Yeah, i think anything Kefka says be it censored or uncensored is still hilarious and classic.

well, it isn't actually real FE characters, I created my ava and siggy using photoshop and a little time, using Lloyd as a base for it (FE7) and changing the colours and keeping the formatting for the FE7 display... Back on topic, lol, I didnt realise FFV had an older version of the Atma/Ultima Weapon o.o, maybe it was because I got bored of it and havent finished it yet... oh well, like I said, translation shouldn't be the primary concern of people, everyone blows it wayyyy out of proportion, because it wasn't all that bad honestly. I am kinda curious what is the deal with the new espers, and I kinda wonder if they are going to fix Gau's rages. Something I think would be a cool thing to add, but i highly doubt would happen is Head to head battles via link cable. That would be pretty cool I think, but the game is already complete and I didnt see that in the "added features" so, i'm pretty sure they weren't added... I can dream can't I?

Oh no didnt mean your profile..i meant that FF VI doesnt look like Fire Emblem. Yeah i know what you mean about FF V, that game for some reason felt like a chore finishing. I definitely got bored of it at times..but yeah Omega is in the last dungeon of the game. He is an optional boss, but he is harder than the boss of the game.

Yeah i'm not too concerned about the translation really, i thought it was fine. But hey why not clean things up a little, it is really old.

As for the espers..yea i'd like to know a little more about that, as well as the new dungeon. Guess we just gotta be patient

But since it's gamefaqs, you can take that with a grain of salt.
