FF6 better than recent FF's??

I certainly think so even though many of you will disagree.
FFX i didnt have a problem with ,but FFX-2 which i really thought was crap....
Sorry to the major YRP fans out there..!!!

I don't disagree with you WingedDevil. I think FF6 is better than most FF games these days. FF7 is a close second.

Most or nearly everyone i know thinks that the PS2 FF's we'll say are better than the ones on PS1 i just think that is bloody stupid talk...!!!

Well FFX I found good but I wasn't too fond of FFX2. It's too overrated in my opinion.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it crap. I just didn't like the battle system too much. Too complicated. The storyline was good though.

I find it funny when someone says X-2, a game that a lot of people hate, is overrated. It's as bad as saying VII is underrated. xD

I agree there. I mean i guess it is hard to all X-2 overrated..unless you think that it should get even LESS recognition that it already does. I mean there are a niche of people who really like the game i guesss, but most people i know don't like the game. While it is my least favorite final fantasy game..i wouldn't go as far as calling it complete crap either..but certainly in my opinion one of the lesser titles, if not the worst.

For me it was the opposite, i enjoyed the deep battle system, but storywise..to me the story was basically non-existent or not a good story at that. Kinda just extended off X's story (which i thought was great).

But anywayz, that is beside the topic...to me FF 6 is better than the recent titles for sure. Though everyone finds something they like in each game so i guess it is a matter of opinion, but in my experience i love FF 6 and i think it will always be my favorite though i'm pretty excited for XII.

Final Fantasy X2 is definetly overrated. I mean all these previews,commercials and stuff and it turns out to not be as good as everyone said.

Yea i guess when i meant overrated i meant as in the fans of the games that i know.

But i guess as far as the gaming industry is concerned i just noticed that IGN gave this game a 9.5!! Gamespot gave it an 8.1..which is a little better. Gamespy gave it a 3 stars/5. The last one to me is more accurate

I guess if i had to rate X-2 on a scale of one to ten..i'd probably at the most give it a 6 or 7.

Matter of opinion I guess. Maybe there are some people who do like it. Don't forget though. overrated or not it's still Final Fantasy.

Every game has previews and most have commercials.

Well like you said its a matter of opinion.....but calling X-2 crap was a bit much.....so sorry on that front.
Also,i think that it is a playable game but it would'nt be one that i could really like and play over and over again.....!!
I think that the way FF XII sounds i dont like it and that for me just justifies that PS1 FFs are better than the ones on PS2.
