Yeah the only thing good about it was the ability too create your own character.

Graphics wise....not a chance, but I think its better than FFX or FFX-2. I liked how you could learn magic from the espers and the stroyline seemed more fascinating than the recent ones now. FFX-2 had a great battle system cuz it's fast-paced, but its way too girly for me.(No offense girls.). And as for FFX, it was an alright game. Nothing special besides voice-overs and comtrolling your summons, but other than that its nothing compared to FFVI.

I'm not keen on FFVI, as far as i'm concerned if you've played one RPG on the SNES you've pretty much played them all. Not saying it's a bad game or anything because it's not but nothing makes it stand out and especially not compared to FFX imo.

Not too keen? I mean it's one thing you personally don't like a game but saying that if you have played one rpg on the snes you have played them all is one of the most ignorant statements i have ever heard in my life. Especially if you don't say ANYTHING to back it up. I mean that's just as easy for me to say, "If you've played one Ps2 rpg, you've played them all." It's just not true though. How many snes rpgs have you actually played? (and when i say played i don't mean turned on and played for a few minutes)

I mean besides the graphics and battle system, honestly there is nothing better in X than VI. X was way too linear, easy to the point that's it annoying, and features some of the most annoying characters around. Not to say i don't like the game, but it certainly has a lot of flaws, ESPECIALLY compared to Final Fantasy VI, which though may not be your favorite, is considered by many to be one of the best (if not the best) in the series.

Good reply

I've played quite a few SNES RPG's but in all of them i get the feeling of De Ja Vu when i'm crawling through a Dungeon battling the same kind of monsters to reach the same sort of place for the same sort of reason.

I've currently got a save of FF6 but i'm only about 3 hours into the game, i'm going to give it a good old play then come back in this thread and give you a bit less biased opinion.

Look i'm not trying to be mean or anything..but same kind of dungeon, same kind of monster, same sort of reason? This could once again be said about any rpg.. just because a game is old and has outdated graphics doesn't affect any of things you said.

I mean all snes rpgs have different stories, different dungeon designs/layouts, and have a variety of monsters, just like ANY rpg for ANY system.

so please atleast try to finish some games before saying something like that.

Like i say i'm going to give the game a chance after being a little harsh on it and other Snes RPG's (Breath of Fire is one of my favourite ever games by the way) so i'll reply on this thread after the storyline and everything has won me over a little.

So far in the game it's like i've done it all before unlike when i play FF7 or FF8.....Maybe it's just a slow starter.

Probably the main reason I like FF6 so much is because of the Multiplayer memories. Me and my best mate played FF6 together thanks to the great multiplayer function. But yeah other then that I found the amount of depth they managed to fit into 14 characters very detailed.

I love Final Fantasy VI, sure it doesn't have the best graphics but what do you expect? That game is from quite a long time ago now and that's what technology was like then. I actually haven't got a problem with the graphics anyway, they are quite good. I like how there are a lot more main characters in this game than all the others. The battle system was also great, I liked the Espers and the magic you could learn. It was also cool how you could have four characters in a battle. I love it!

The storyline is also great. I haven't completed the game or anything but from what I have played, the storyline was really good and not boring at all. The characters were pretty awesome as well. Kefka cracked me up at times, what a great villain lol.
