Who is in your favourite party?

Oooh! It has been so very long since I have posted in this forum. I think the last post I made here may have been in a thread almost exactly like this one. Or maybe it was a "What is your favorite character?" thread. I am just rambling to get the word count up, I suppose.

Now!

Mog: Mog is my favorite character in the entire realm of Final Fantasy. I cannot think of a single character that I like more, and this is based purely on how, in the words of that Taco Guy, incredibly cute he is. I don't really care for stats. Never looked at them. The only time I go into the status sheet was to change Gogo's abilities or to see when they would level up. Pointing that out, I placed the Economizer and the Gem Box on him and just Ultima'd everyone to hell and back. Dances were used sparringly towards the end of the game, but I was a dancing madman during the earlier parts.

Edgar: Tools were probably my favorite thing in the entire game, and Edgar was the man to go to for using them. I purchased them whenever I could and hardly ever didn't use them. Auto Crossbow was probably my most used attack out of anything in the entire game. Whenever I was facing multiple enemies, Edgar was the go to guy. I cannot count the number of times his Tools helped me escape certain Game Over-like deaths.

Sabin: I liked the Blitzes, but I used them as I used dances: Heavily towards the beginning, sparringly towards the end. Mantra and Aqua Bolt were used a lot though, just when I need those extra boosts in health or the damage with the A-Bolt. I enjoyed giving him the Genji Glove and Offering combo, plus two of the best claws whenever I could get my hands on them. Eight times 9999? I know anyone can do it given the proper levelling, but I always loved when it was the musclehead.

Gogo: Gotta love the Mime. I think the three abilities I had on him/her at all times were Magic, Tools, and SwordTech. I think. I don't really have a reason for liking this particular character, but (s)he intrigued me to no end and that was enough for me.

I always ended up beating the game with the first three, no matter what. Gogo typically died during the final battle, and was probably replaced with Umaro or Cyan. I never really used Terra, Locke, or Celes. Maybe upon the release of the GBA version I will try to branch out and not depend so much on the little white Moogle I adore so very much. Maybe.

Edgar - Tools, how useful they were!
Setzer - He does some decent damage all round.
Sabin - I love his special moves, but executing them could be a pain.

yeah sabin is a trouble maker when i was young with no consept of reality i would get nervous and lose important boss battles cause i would mess up the bum rush or one of the other difficult blitzies

in my party I had Sabin, Edgar, Terra and Mog. those are my favorite characters in the game, so I kept them. I liked Sabin bum rush and mogs dances

Yeah when I was young too, I used to do the same thing and loose to the boss and taking me longer to finish the game.

Edgar, Sabin, Terra, Gogo. I <3 using the gem box to do the Ultima, quick, ultima, ultima, ultima, ultima combo, also with an economizer it only costs 6mp. Also Gogo can mime Sabins Blitz's. <3 <3 <3

Mog, Edgar,Terra, and Celes were in my party and from time to time I would switch my favorite party once in a while, but these were the majority of people I used frequently throughout the game. Celes's Runic abliltiy is really helpful espicially when gettting MP. Edgar's tool skill was really helpful as well. Terra's morph was awesome and her magic was effective and Mog's dance was a life-saver im my opinion.

I'm not much of a magic user, so I go with the highest attackers:

Edgar, Sabin, Cyan, and Shadow.

Sure, anyone can be uberpowerful with the Atma Weapon/Ragnarok and Genji Glove/Offering, but before you do collect all those weapons and accessories, they do have their own unique (and great) abilities.

Sabin's Pummel, Cyan's Dispatch, Edgar's Drill, and Shadow's shurikens will go through just about any enemy's defense. I'm also quite fond of the Quadra Slice SwdTech or Interceptor's counter attacks.

My party would alternate throughout the second half of the game but my main party would be Celes,Locke(or Shadow),Sabin and Edgar. Celes because of her well balanced stats and Runic.

Locke because of Mug or whatever it's called,I forget. Sabin obviously because of his Blitz attacks. Bum Rush for 9999 damage every time it's used. Can't go wrong. And Edgar because of his high attack and his tools. Simply great. The Auto Crossbow never fails me even in the second half of the game and the Chainsaw is just ownage.

Sabin: Oddly enough, I feel bad about not having him in the party if Edgar's gonna be there......
and...um...anyone, really...Usually Celes cos Runic comes in handy.

Well, i've only run through this game once. But umm here are my characters.

Celes: For some odd reason i really like this character...reminds me of Zelda in ALTTP.
Terra: I love her morph and her awesome green hair
Shadow: Need i say of this guys awesomeness and versatility?
Sabin: I really enjoy using his Bum Rush and various other blitzes.

I'd switch Cyan in and out sometimes but this is mostly who i used so far.

The only reason is that I trained them a lot. I could have done it to anyone else, seeing as that I only used Ultima (the magic) on the final boss.

Mine are Setzer, Terra, Celes and Edgar.

Setzer = I like his Coin Toss ability (I think that's what it is)
Terra = I use her for healing
Celes = For her Runic Ability
Edgar = Good all round fighter and good abilities

I personally always loved a party of: Setzer, Terra, Shadow, Sabin

Honorable Occasional Swap Character goes to: Edgar

Terra: Her healing magic, and also her Morph ablity is very good especially in the WoR bosses.

Sabin: His Blitzes hit hard and with the Genji Glove and I forgot the item but it lets you hit 8 times ^^. Phantom Rush yay^^

Cyan: I love it when I equip Cyan with a Genji Glove and let him dual wield two Katanas. Masamine, and Mauasame hehe^^. And his techs are good.

Edgar: He is an well rounded attacker, and his tools are good to have around.

Mog, Cyan, Shadow, and Terra.

Mog... well he's a cute little overly destructive bugger when properly utilised AND I find it insanely funny to think about mog beating the snot out of more powerful enemies.
Easily my favourite charactor in this, my favourite, game.

Cyan is also insanely funny and a full tank with his Sword Tech attacks. And yes, I do pretty much the same as UltimaMKII. Genji Glove, Masamine, and Mauasame.

Shadow is an awesome character to utilise too, and his dog's attacks can make even the easiest of battles easier. And he's a ninja. Every party needs a ninja, right?

Terra has her esper abilities and well, I like having her in my main party. Enough said.

Honourable mentions to Setzer (I love a gamble...) and Locke (Mugging FF style...).
As for Gogo, the game's easy enough as it is....

Edgar, some really useful tools, like debiliator or whatever, adding elemental weakness

and Celes, Runic helps, those magic spells are nice to turn into mana and then I can cast those nice spells right back

Balance is my forte, so I go basic

The only one I switch out from there usually is Cyan, and I replace him with either Edgar or Shadow.

I like most of the characters in the game, so I end up rotating my party a lot to get most of them in (though I tend to leave Strago, Setzer, and Umaro behind more often than not).

Most Used Party:
Terra
She's essentially the main plot character in this whole thing and I've always liked to have her in the party due to her good magic skills.

Relm
The control command is fun to mess around with, and her insane magic power stat is nice to have around.

Mog
You can't beat the awesomeness of a moogle, and the moogle charm relic is useful when you're about to die.

Edgar...
The fourth spot tends to have the most fluctuation. I generally lean on Edgar more often than not since his tools are powerful and easy to use, but pretty much anyone else can come in when I'm in the mood (I've actually started to grow fond of Gau more recently, but having two "beserker" type characters between Rage and Dance can make battles a tad more boring).
