To beat Ultros at a low level (10-15) just put everybody on the back row. Have Sabin use blitzes, Use Edgar's tools, have Terra attack with weapon and use Banon to heal. Nobody dies except Ultros. Easy battle.

I thought Ultros was a nice guy. I was happy to see he and his buddy found jobs at the combat arena.

I also hated killing him in the oprea because he was SO EASY! Like I had a flame claw and Ihit him once and he's dead. Like he didn't even put up a fight! Ya i know I was using a weapon with his weakness in all....but still.

The most annoying thing that Orthos does is Kappa Song. He is really goofy, though. T'holo.

I think it's funny that he had to get the job because he had a huge debt.

"When I was asleep the other day, he started gnawing on my head!" I try doing the low-level game challenge. I beat him in the sky with level 20 Tina, 19 Celes and 18 Relm. I just put Genji Glove on Celes, make sure Relm knows Cure or Curera and that Tina knows Fira and Blizzara and it's doooone.

Ultros reminds me of those repeat villians that keep popping up at the worst times. Like Seymour in FFX, or Jenova in FFVII, or Exdeath in FFV. But Ultros holds a special place in my memory as the best repeat FF villian. Ultros is a big softie deep down. He has a soft spot for kids lol, like Relm remember? Ultros like most humans in real life has debts to pay off lmao, so he gets a job to pay them off, even if he has to work forever! Bwhahaha!...lol

i thought he was a wuss, but alot of fun at low levels. fighting him at high levels just killed the thrill of the kill! poor lil guy...

Ultros is bad but gets better. In the begining I found him annoying cause he's persistant and just won't die. But after about the trillionth time fighting him I kinda laughed at the heart he had to fight, though in the end, death got the best of him.

I had no clue that there was another boss that appeared to be Ultros in the dawn of Souls. Perhaps I missed that. To answer other questions, Ultros was probably the most annoying boss in the game, and he always had ablities that made him frustrating for each time you faced him. He was like a character you use, who gets stronger over the course of the game and has the same ablities, but you have to beat up. Very annoying.

The first time I met him it WAS kind of hard to deal with him. But later in the game he realy was a comedy squid I realy liked him.

I think it'd be best to have Terra/Tina use Fire instead of attacking, especially if you have her in the back row...

Anyways, nothing when you have Bannon in your party is hard because of his healing ability...To me, Ultros' most annoying ability in the Opera fight is Acid Rain, but you can counter that by Summoning Kirin (Regen on the party)...I think the only time he's really difficult at all is the Relm fight because he uses the -aja/3rd-level Elemental Magics and that can take you out if you're not spamming Celes' Runic Sword...

When you first fight him, in which my favorite line was "Seafood is NOT on the menu!", and he just comes out of nowhere like the Opera House, or even before the Floating Continent. He was an interesting character... But he wasn't easy as a boss for me...
