Final Fantasy VI Ivalice Edition (Update 8-13-07)

Well it IS just a modifucation/hack of FFVI I made, I see no reason why it couldn't have stayed there, but oh well.

I still have it on my comp, still half complete and not quite all I wanted done on the game (I mostly wanted to add in a few new enemies, summon graphics, and redo the entire script to Sky Render's FF6j translation (he gave me actual permission to do so)/ But I really prided myself on all the Item and Enemy hacking I did. I really think I did a good job on creating a hack that wasn't just difficult, but *different* and providing an FFT-like feel. Making the characters more class independant and not quite as customizable (more along the lines of say FFIV or FFIX)

Here are some screens that are still lying around on my Homestead server. I believe these are from version 2.0. The latest version, 2.2 has redone "Tactics-style" character portraits

Just a few notes about these screens:

-Yes that's the FFT font (and the FFT cursor)
-The menu font is from FFIX
-The window colors used for the menu aren't just customized by me, they're the DEFAULT window colors

EDIT: The hack is moreorless "done" as far as the gameplay aspect is concerned, I was mostly just ran into a dead end trying to edit some of the graphics and text.

I really enjoy playing this hack/mod. It's really well made! I think 1.7 was the last version i have though. :\

Haha, well, when I read "FFVI Tactics" I assumed it was some weird hybrid of the two, going so far as the battle system and everything. I s'pose I really should've left this over in FFVI, eh? Well, no worries.

Point being, I think I'll wait for the finished product. I'm interested to see exactly what you're going to change when it comes to altering the semi-customization via espers of the characters. Etcetera.

Well like I said, I ran into a dead end trying to edit the text and some of the graphics that I wanted to. But as far as the gameplay is concerned, it IS done, and I haven't worked on it any further because of this.

there is a version at zophar but it's not done. That's the one i have. v1.7 or something... :|
