| | The item bug was fixed a while ago, V2.0 I think. A person who helped me with some of the item coding, unawaringly fixed it, I later, recently found out it as one of the editors I was using. As for Blitzes, I'm going to add Random Death Count to Fire Dance, like Secret Fist. Mantra, now Chakra, works more like it's FFT counterpart (IE based off Physical attack power) but I can't quite get it to heal MP. Aside from that they'll be roughly the same, being as that I can't really think of anything to change them, the way they are. Oh and for those FFT Fans, I merged Strago's Grand Train with Galaxy Stop. Damage is toned town a bit, but it now does damage AND Stops all enemies. I figured Grand Train would be the best Galaxy Stop, graphically. | ||||||||

The idea of having Strago using Grand Train like Galaxy Stop, however, was really an unexpected move. Granted that getting that kind of spell is not easy (you do expect it on keeping the spell on Hidon, right?), but learning it makes Strago the most dependable character ever. One more thing: what characters other than Cid will appear as guest characters? Will you still think on adding Daravon? Will you rename the academy of Narshe the "Gariland Magic Academy" (perfect place for Daravon hehehe...) Hoping to see this new version coming very soon...

7,799 | The point of this hack is to model it after Final Fantasy Tactics... leaving Terra a mageknight does not model anything in tactics, keeping her a fire type warrior mage and celes a ice type warrior mage. The point is to remodel these characters and give them strategy, each one having good things to add to a party, but also weaknesses. So Terra the mageknight... You could contrast Terra and Celes as Heaven/Hell knights... but... they dont fit the profile at all. So lets look at the Temple Knight... good idea... problem is Temple knight is lacking in good attack power. Lets look at the Dark Knight and Holy Knight both are rather good attackers, good magic abilities, just contrasting in dark and light. Good yay, hurray. Both are offensive types if you remember, its just they contrasted each other in their elements. They did not just run around casting black/white magic against each other. This is Final Fantasy Tactics style FF6... not final fantasy 4 Terra VS Celes... character model, fire vs ice... Terra as a Dark knight would fit, Dark magic, offensive power, good attack, damage spells. Celes, seems to be more defensive, ice magic, runic, white costuming, with terras darker reds and blacks... Contrasting well as opposites but equals. Last edited by psychosyd; 02-22-2005 at 09:49 AM.

Also, Cain mentioned that text-replacement is only hard because he can't exceed the number of existing characters (this time, I mean characters like letters and numbers). Therefore, turning Narshe's academy into "Gariland Magic Academy" isn't possible.

I don't know about that. I remember 2 years ago finding a way to add more text to the Location bar at the top of the screen, hence how some of the Locations are already changed. I asked for Sky Render's help on it, he was very patient and nice to teach me about Location Pointers, but now, since that was a couple years ago, I forgot how to do it >.< EDIT: CRAP! Never mind! I found that I still have all my Location Pointer Data. And just remembered I gave the classroom a sepcial set of names. | | Well like I said, he gave me permission to use his translation but it's just not possible to insert all of into the game, and I really don't plan to try aside from tweaking town names and hidden bits of text never used in the original.

Version 2.3 is now up for download. It's an IPS patch, I'd recommend IPSWin to apply to it an unhacked FF3 ROM. http://www.newwavemugen.com/~cainssj4/fft6-v23.zip Be sure to report any bugs, problems, etc. And last of all, relax and enjoy ^_^ EDIT: Oh and reading the Readme helps ^.^

| WITH LIGHT COMING OUT OF HIS MOUTH? | Well, first off, I have to say: Even though I haven't posted here yet, i've been reading everything and eagerly awaiting this patch - after all, FF6 and FFT are my two favorite FFs. That being said... i'm getting a "404" error when i'm clicking on the link there. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? I want to know, dang it, because I want to play this! | ||||||||
