Who's the best?
So who do you think is the best?
Mine is most definitly EDGAR why you ask because....He's a king,Ladies man, uses a spear, makes up a new identity, has a pretty good back round, his skill is tools and last but not least wears a cape. |

Yes, I'm allowing this. In fact, I told him to put it back up since he asked.
It's different from the favorite character thread because some of us happen to like the underdogs. Anyway, as far as who's the best... I'm gonna go with LOCKE. Even if Edgar's my favorite, there's that undeniable superiority of the thief that I'm absolutely in love with. I swear, I got so much random stuff in my inventory thanks to Locke. The fact that he has a lot of good weaponry which allows him to stay on the back row makes him that much more awesome, and whenever you had him in front, there was always the relic that turned Steal into Capture... yum. (If you're unfamiliar with FFVI, Capture = Mug in FFX.) edit: I'm also going to take the time limit off the poll, as soon as I figure out how to edit it. I think that's actually just a supermoderator ability... Last edited by LocoColt04; 11-22-2004 at 05:04 PM. |

You're missing a couple, bro. This wouldn't be a problem if my best wasn't one of them.
Which one? Why, Realm, of course. Look at her stats. She has the highest natural magic rating, which, unless I remember incorrectly, is the one ability that cannot be increased with Espers. I don't have any other reasons, really. Eh, I guess she's kinda cute (cute as in "awww", not "I have a pediphilic urge to make out with her") |

I voted for Sabin. Mog was my favorite character, but I just loved the muscle-head. Sure, he was nothing but a big, dumb body builder.. but uh.. damn. He was sure strong, wasn't he? Genji Glove + Offering = Death to anything. You simply cannot deny the.. what.. 79,992 damage it did with one turn?
I'm pretty sure I did that right, check my math though. |

Also, anyone with a Genji Glove and Offering can do 79,992 damage... but the number is sweet either way. And, chances are, Sabin will be the first to do it, given the fact that he's a staple in just about anyone's party. Last edited by LocoColt04; 11-23-2004 at 08:27 AM. |

Hey Loco about sabain being a staple. I Don't usually use him I use to a lot but then I relized all the characters can be the same. So i don't use him at all now my party at the moment is : Edgar,Setzer,Strago and Umero(I use Umero cause he wears best armour in the game)

Setzer owns you all.
I've stated the reasons before, so I'll leave it at that.

IN definitions of the best, I think Sabin has the most versatility in the WoB... since your not expecting to break the damage limit, he has a nice variety of Blitzes that you can use to do some good high damage through the first half of the game. He is a great addition to any party and really helps bring some good strike power that you need early on in some battles. I dont know where I would be without Aurabolt. Locke is another good canidate for this spot (but Sabin I think wins it) due to Capture, its handy.
In the WoR I think my ideas change... in terms of the best, thats a bit more of a tough call as it then falls on who you develop. Bum Rush is nice, in sticking with Sabin, but its a one hit strike, and he is QUICKLY outcassed by anybody with a Genji Glove doing even 5000 per strike. You could then go with whoever can stick a good Genji Glove/Offering combo, but you know, thats a bit dull for my taste, I prefer not using the Offering, and just giving guys the Genji Glove. I think then for the WoR I really have to say this is a tough call. I think it falls on favorites, and is hard to quantify. I like Shadows Ninja goodness, quick attacks, throw is handy for many situations, and hes a decent fighter. Then again, I like GoGos ace in the hole for ANYTHING style as he really does help you make up for what you are lacking. Terra is nice, but I think magic looses some luster to physical attacks late late game, and morph is wasted. IF morph had a break damage limit ability, it would have use the 2nd half of the game, but since it doesnt, she is wasted. Tough tough call... Sabin wins WoB... Shadow or GoGo im going with in WoR
