Celes or Terra?

Like you didnt see this one coming hehe, anyway.. out of the choice of Celes or Terra, which of the two did you personally find to be more useful, or which one did you like more? you get the idea.. heh.

Personally, i found Celes to be much more useful.. not only does she learn Magic naturally (so does Terra, but anyway) she has the 'Runic' Ability, which absorbs almost every single spell on the list (besides Ultima, Quake to name 2 spells) and convert them to MP at no harm to anyone in the team, except the monster who attacked and lost the MP, heh. There was one downfall to this ability that usually got to me.. and that is, is absorbs ALL spells in battle (meaning, spells cast from YOUR PARTY and THE ENEMIES PARTY) heh, aside from that downfall, she is my primary character and has the best all round stats.

How about you eh?

Celes, for the same reasons.

I also found her to be stronger phycially than Terra, though all stats are customizable via espers, but that's not the point. Oh, and Celes is hot. And she's all human, not some genetic freak. Except she is a genetic freak, and Terra's just a half Esper. And Relm is ten, so that's just gross.

Seriously though, I'd have to choose Celes. She's a pimp.

I found Terra to be more useful overall. Yes, runic was a nice ability, but once you got to the world of ruin it became pretty much useless. Terra's esper form, on the other hand, was that much more useful, because her stats got better, the epser form's increase was that much stronger.

Of course, in the end, both abilities become useless.

As for looks, well, Celes was definitely better looking. Although, according to the PS remake, Terra's hair is blonde, not green.

Well, Terra wimped out at first when you ask her to join her party in the world of ruin. Celes, well, she's like the heroine of half the story on the count of she's the first character you'll have in the story. If Kefka Cutlist were here he would definitely have chosen Celes. celes and terra, I like em both. They are the first two characters you get to use on the halves of te game. Wob and Wor

I find both of them quite useful. Runic doesn't adsorb Meteor I think.

The one downfall of FF6 is the fact that you can get bonuses from Espers which means you can make both Terra and Celes as strong as Sabin if you really wanted to. As for personal skills, Runic works pretty well, until you reach the World of Ruin. But Celes is still pretty effective with her spells and can even use physical attacks quite well (Atma Weapon for example). Terra's Morph is very good too. I think I once beat Kefka using only those two characters to attack and let the others defend and he went down after 4 or 5 rounds with the help of Quick Magic of course.

Basically... I took terra, I found Runic to be more of a hinderance rather a help as soon as I started using magic. I am one who likes to as much damage as possible as quick as possible, and runic just takes away an attacker for me. That and as it has been noticed Runic seems to lose a lot of use in the WoR as most spells are multi hit or not runicable in general. I start to use magic more often and as I see it pointless to have my spells absorbed by my own team mate when I can just as easily tough it out with 7000 or so HP, who cares about one spell missing, I got Cure3 and Mantra dont I? MP run low? Ok so I use some osmose. Morph I used a bit longer, with a nice spell, it really gives you that 9999 damage limit access early, I know I railed on Phunaba, Tritotch and the Ice Dragon with Fire 2 and 3 in a morphed state. That and im a fan of fire over ice anyways. Terra always seemed to do more damage than Celes for me in the end. Seemed tougher, though weaponwise both women are rather identical if I remember correctly.

I prefered Celes, mainly for the reasons that our dear Dawezy has already stated. I liked Terra too, but I found Celes much more useful and a cooler character. As the game progressed I started useing Celes a hell of alot more than Terra. She just rocks.

Terra I found better. The Runic thing I found to be more useful. Power is my thing. Magic is okay, only when it comes to healing, but Ive got one hell of a need for Strength.

Terra. Terra has Morph. Enough said.

Not that I absolutely hate Celes or anything -- I don't -- but given the choice I always take Terra ove Celes because I find Runic to be more of a nuisance than what it's worth. The only time I found that useful was in the boss fight in Locke's scenario.

Personally I never liked Terra, I seen her secondary ability to be rather... crappy. While with Celes, you could use Runic even in random battles, to hinder opponets, while I'm sure we were all depending on physical attacks to eliminate the enemies. So, she just stopped the major threats while the rest of the party beat them. On top of that, I have a fetish for opera... I know, I know, thats just creepy.

I honestly can't say who I like more. They've both been in my party for as long as I can have them and I like both of their personalities, abilites and pasts. I found both runic and morph useful and I enjoyed each of their stories and their fight to overcome personal tragedy. It's a tie. *shrugs*

to tell the truth, I never really used runic or morph that much, save a few boss battles. But I find Celes to be more usuful overall as she is a tad stronger, combat wise. plus terra had an annoying personality, that of a manic depressive while I was always interested to see Celes interact with others, especially locke heh.

Terra for me.

I dunno why really... I do like both of them equally in battle, but the only reason I voted for Terra was because I just prefer ponytails over long, flailing hair
