16 | Terra is way better then Celes. Terra has Morph, Celes is really useless I don't like her at all, Runic is really useless except for that boss with Locke, Terra is way stronger then Celes with her attack and magic,

| | I've always liked Celes better than Terra. I think Morph doesn't ever last long enough and is quite unnecessary for amplification of Mag Att Power. They both are fairly equal in fighting and casting magic, but I think Runic is a way more versatile skill and can really destroy a spell casting opponent.

| | Personally, I used Terra more simply because her role in the game was pretty strong and for some reason I do that in all Final Fantasy games (as in using the main characters more often than not). I enjoyed Celes more because her dramatic role in the game as far as storyline and heart-felt moments, where Terra seemed cold and distant from the group at parts. Celes was my favorite, but I chose "I like them both" because I do! | ||||||||

| Definitely not 6:10:50 | Yeah, I chose "like them both" as well, and, BTW Cobain, Terra's Morph lasts longer the more you use it, or at least for me it did. Terra had more of the "Innocence" kind of thing going about her story. She didn't quite understand a lot of things, and learned what love was in a somewhat harsh way. Celes, on the other hand, had more of a dynamic character, even moreso than Terra. She went from (in the game) fallen general, with a great shame brought from it, to love stuck woman. It is a really hard decision for me, as they are (as with most of VI's characters) very very detailed, and VI has the best done characters in a Final Fantasy game, ever. All of the characters have such life that was lacking in previous titles, and ones after it... Whoops, a bit off topic there ![]() ~TheDarkDragoon

92 | hmm. Both very good characters.......so I chose both. I never had a problem with Terra's morph ability and ended up using both characters in my main party against Kefka. Both characters also had flowing parts in the story. But who can forget Celes' opra performance. ![]()

13 | I Like Them Both, But I Think Terra Learns More Powerful Magic. Celes' Last Move Is Merton While Terra's Is Ultima,Plus Terra Has The Morph Ability Which Powers Up Her Magic Attack And Her Magic Def.

94 | Totally character-wise: The only part I really loved Celes for was the Opera scene. Terra, however, was the closest thing the game had to a main character. She was constantly being developed throughout the entire game, more so than anyone else. Terra's discovering who she was in such a wretched world was the core of the game for me. She wins. Plus I always preferred a little fire to ice when it came down to it.

61 | I guess I'd go with Terra, with her Morph ability, fire affinity, and Esper heredity. Don't get me wrong; Celes had her good points which for me were better than Terra's: long, flowing blond hair (believe me, I like long, flowing hair better than ponytailed hair), an affinity with ice, and an ability to absorb magic. But the chances of my liking her better than Terra were erased when she kept snapping at everyone within her range. For one, she didn't need to bite Terra's head when asked how it felt to love. And I think I liked how Terra reacted to Edgar's flirtations rather than Celes's. Personality-wise, I liked half of her cold exterior: the coldness, the almost complete independence. But, that's that. The other half--her way of talking, how she would suddenly turn into a softee who would kill herself (a serious contrast to her hard facade)--just annoyed me to hell. I give her the sympathy of being considered a traitor throughout the game, but that's just it. Unlike Terra, she couldn't adapt to things. Terra, on the other hand, did not go all-out-war when she felt being doubted, but I guess her innocence and amnesia gave her that advantage. Terra knew how to converse; she knew the right time to be angry, the right time to be calm, and such. Story-wise, I guess I can't say much. I dislike, not hate, either stories: for one, I wished Terra would have gotten a partner, not just children, although it is a new main-character story for me. For another, Celes and Locke's relationship seems fragile for me and thus, uncomfortable. I guess that's another plus for Terra. So yeah, I guess I based my decision on personalities and a bit on stories. Terra.

| Just The Average Gay Guy Next Door | To be honest I liked them both, they added the richness of FFVI, especially Terra. Both of them have different magics leveling up and different stories that made them unique. There were some spells that only Terra could learn like Ultima, and some only Celes could learn like the Blizzard set spells and Meteor. Both were perfect to me.

168 | I like them both alot; however I chose Terra. Terra has a tragic story, being a slave to the empire for her whole life and never have expierienced love since as long as she can remeber. Yet when she comes to and becomes concious and sees that she has been used as a tool for murder and all that she turns out to be a sweetie. I also liked her whole searching for the meaning of love thing throughout the game. Also I love the fact that she rediscovered love through her maternal instinct to protect those children in Mobilz. Gameplay wise Celes is cool and all but her Runic is no where near as useful as Morph, if you save Morph till you get over 100 magic points It will last fo a long time so for about 5+ turns Terra's vigor, def, magic, and magic def is doubled so if you did the gem box economizer set up with quick and boosted her magic to about 60+ you could spam Fire1 for 9999 damage continuously for 5 turns Terra owns all people in Final Fantasy VI in all aspects!
