Did Anyone Notice on Final Fantasy V....
Hey guys did anyone notice something familiar about the Battle theme in FF5? I am listening to it right now, and it reminds me of the first few seconds on the " Birth of God" Track on FF7. Althrough it's not the same as the FF7 the first few seconds makes it sound almost like it. What do you think? Does it sound familiar to you?

well, if you ask me, they all sound the same. Its just a Final Fantasy thing. But now that you metioned it, ya they do sound the same.

I've always notice there's always a battle theme that contains the same heavy downbeat, it's hard to describe in words, but just listen to the battle themes in I and VI they both start the same. The same "intro" yo can hear in just about every game somewhere, in VII and VIII it's in some of the more final boss themes.

Well they do sound slightly similar... actually quite a bit come to think of it... except The Birth Of God sounds slightly more slowly and synthetic.
Oh and if you remember this it reminds me of the intro to one of my Viking Metal bands Einherjer's - Leve Vikingeaanden off Odin Owns Ye All, though it came later it is based off earlier Viking music so that gets me thinking...

The beat of the music is kind of similar when I listened to both tracks. That must be the similarity between the 2 tracks.

I dunno about you but FF5 has a couple of great tunes hey...I dig the music for Galuf's castle and the Pyramid. The music when someone dies is also nice, and I love Lenna's theme. In my opinion FF5 was one of the FF's with the best music. Anyways...I haven't listened closely to the battle theme but I know FF4's one sounds almost identical to FF9's in the beginning.

i havent really got a chance to play any of the older final fantasy games but my favorite final fantasy track is the boss fights in final fantasy 7 and the end song is a lot cooler if you understand the translation between latin and english
