The main villain figure in this game was???

i havent actually really played through this game yet, and was wondering who the villain for the game is... i havent really heard much on him/her but i did hear that theres a villain who is a TREE!?

Up untill A bit later(The second world) there is not specific villian.
The tree is the Penultimate boss.

ahh i see, i assume you've played through this game? befor i start to actually play it myself fully through, is it worth it

would you say the game was pretty good RPG? ,story wise?

Actually the main villain is X-Death, he shows you his true form at the very end and he isn't a tree, he destroyed all the crystals and became one after gaining back all of is power.

This game is the first final fantasy I ever dedicated my time to, so I'd like to say it is worth getting and playing, I played it 3 times.

What about the guy stored in the dark portal? where does he come in? is he merged with X-death at the end or merely forgotten? Or one of the extra bosses what is it with him? explanation please.
And I admit the tree suprised me a great deal as well, I was like "wtf a tree111111hax" In better english, it was one of the most unexpected bosses ever in an FF.

I'm not sure who you're talking about but I'm pretty sure it's Necrophobe. Necrophobe is just a boss you fight to save the game before fighting X-Death. If you're not talking about him, then the only other person you could be talking about is Gilgamesh, either way both of them die, and no one merges with X-Death, he's too much of a conceited bastard to take help from anyone else. Necrophobe was the guy standing at the side of the steps you go up to fight X-Death, Gilgamesh was the guy who was frieking out because X-Death sent him to the N-Zone. I hope that answered your question, if not you could pm me and i'll try to go you a better explanation.

Possibly it is necrophobe, all i recall is the blokes in that library speak of him, and he's in a lot of books. I know it wasn't Gilgamesh though he was awesome. Maybe he was the guy you speak off, but there was so goddamn many bosses dotted about that place it's hard to remember. But even after everything, X-Death was still one of the weakest reasoned villains, in my opinion. Though for this guy I speak off, I swear he began with P.

I know what you mean.
The other bosses were just put there. Anyone you might have fought in the dark portal A.K.A. "N-Zone," were X-Deaths minions, and I think I know now who you're talking about. If they talked about him in the library then you were talking about Omega or Shinryuu. Omega is that robot looking thing that walks around and is almost impossible to beat without fire rings. Shinryuu is the boss you fight when you open up the chest at the bottom of the stairs, and is impossible to beat if you don't have your characters maxed out.
Although you say its name starts with a p so now i'm curious myself of who you're speaking of, so I'm going to check right now to see exactly which boss it was.

I couldn't find anyone with a p in the beginning of their name but their are quite alot of bosses with p's following up after A so you could have gotten them confused. At this point I would say it's safe to say that you were talking about Nerophobia.
Also if it's not too much to ask, I'm sort of new here, my friend told me about this site, and told me to go to the Noob posts but I didn't, so I don't really know anybody here, it might be helpful having a TFF friend.

Whoa nice list there "thatguy" your a pretty hard core games to have all that information huh!well I guess the others answered your question a long time ago but Im just going to say it again anyway.the main villain in the game is X-Death. although at first you would think all those boss monsters you encounter were somewhat connected to the "big fish" himself and the deeper you go into the game you discover the source of all the game's evil.so with that said X-Death is the man!......but I thought Gilgamesh was cooler,he's so mysterious!

Yeah X-Death was the main bad guy and to be honest his plans to take over the world were well....lame as hell lol. He was a really bad bad guy and Gilgamesh should have been the main bad guy because he actually put up more of a fight than the old X-Death.
